A judge once told me that 90% of convictions come about as a result of statements made by the defendant. Keep your yap shut, and ignore anyone that says otherwise. Prisons are filled with stupid people that thought they could solve a legal problem by running their mouths.
As far as I know, there is no US case law where a defendant was convicted, or found civilly liable based only on the electronic data provided by the ISP.
