Being held hostage

I sold something on ebay. Sent the goods out. The buyer says he's not satisfied (there's a scratch on product). Which wasnt there before, when i sent it. He wants partial refund, or he'll report me to ebay and damage my rating.

What can i do with this guy?

Send an anonymous email to him saying that if he reports anyone to eBay, you'll give his email address to every spammer you know (and emphasize that you know a lot of spammers) and get his email account flooded with spam.

Report him to ebay for feedback exhortion. Buyers are not allowed to demand extras after the auction that were not included in the original auction listing. If you have practiced due diligence and have proof that the item was not scratched when you shipped it, then he has no case against you. Hopefully the buyer opted for insurance and that damage can be sorted out with the whomever handled the package during shipping. I've had this happen many times with scumbag buyers who have tried to threaten me. Things work better if you file your complaint first.

What is your return policy? I always used to state that all my objects shipped are in perfect order in which stated in the listing, and by agreeing to the terms of purchase (by sending your paypal payment) that they agree that this is true. Create a purchase policy; and make sure to add that you WILL take returns AT buyers expense

tell him to send it back. i recently had a buyer leave me a negative because i refused to be extorted. he claimed a headlight i sold had the tabs broken. i said ship it back he did not want to and would not send me pictures of the damage.

open a paypal and ebay account using his information and a similar email. sell OBVIOUS fake rolex watches and hand bags with that account until he is suspended. warn him that this will tank his real account also if he doesnt comply. fuck it just di it cause u can. and he is an asshole.

look at my conversation with this guy the last couple of days about this headlight i sold that had "damage" according to him. i told him to send me pictures of the "damage" since he did not want to send it back:

hi, can you tell me what day you sent the picture so i can dig through my email to find it and resolve this? i get like thousands of emails so its hard to look for it. but if i have the date it will help. thanks

I sent it the day you asked for pictures, I hope you can find it cause I just cleaned all my emails out today. As far as the headlight I repaired it with apoxi and resecured the tabs with fiberglass. Like I mentioned I did end up spending a couple of hours on this.

me:i can't find anything and i combed through my emails.

him: No I can`t resend the photos, I recently cleaned all my old in & out mail from my account. I did what you said the first time, but its ok, I`ll just let it go. I am 48 years old and I don`t have time to play games over a few dollars, and I`m not a scammer, you win. I won`t be back, but in the future learn to properly pack your shipping boxes so the items don`t get damaged, hmmmm, or maybe it was damaged to start with. Never the less, good bye...............

and after i left a follow up to the negative feedback mentioning extortion he sends me this random message.

due to I had someone waiting for this car, if you would have packed
it securely there wouldn`t have been any problems with the package.
I tried to work it out and you dragged your feet so fuck it,
negative feedback for you. I don`t play childish games trying to
get free money from people, but I try only to be fair, but I do
want what I paid for and ordered. So kiss my ass if you think I
tried to retreive extra money from you, the price I paid was an
excellent amount, but it turned out to be broken when I got it. So
just leave it at that, you got the better part of this deal.

i reported him to ebay and he did the same to me. this dumb fuck only lives 90 miles away from me. i wonder if i scared him by revealing i knew what kind of bike he had? i normally stay very professional with people but this mother fucker put me over the edge.

I had one woman claim i was selling fakes and if i didnt give her a full refund and she was keeping the goods she would report me to Trading standards and egay. I started to do a bit of searching and found she had another account selling the same stuff as me. Also had load of shit feedback on the account. One nice little email later and she was beggin me not to report her.

Dont stand for it mate, the worst thing ebay did was stop sellers leaving NEG feedback.

If you know his adress, you probably could have just called him, explained the situation from man to man (he seems reasonable) and find a solution, I think you wouldn't have this problem now. So no empathy from me m8...

hey, he started cussing at me out of the blue and i was being very cooperative so i responded accordingly. i have been fucked as a buyer many times and never sent such messages to a seller. he showed what a simpleton his is and yes, i did stoop to his level. and i am asking for no empathy from anyone. thank you very much.

From what I read, you pretty much stuck your neck out on the chopping board for him.

Once he gave up you should have stopped full contact AFTER you left the reply to the feedback. End of story and then block all contact to that user.

You have no idea how many morons I used to put up with in my eBay days. I mean, it really opened my eyes to how utterly stupid people are.

Once people quit with eBay they should be diagnosed with PTSD from the BS of eBay and prescribed meds.
