Being dislike bombed, does this hurt me? Counteract possible?

Hello guys, I'll keep this short.

I am currently being dislike bombed on my youtube channel by someone, literally as soon as my video goes live it is hit with exactly 8 dislikes, I have my suspicions that it is the same guy who the other day posted multiple comments on my videos telling me to kill myself and stop making videos, he liked his comments to top comment and disliked my comments and the videos he targeted themselves.

Does being dislike bombed actually hurt my channel/stop my videos showing up in related etc or is it just purely cosmetic?
is there anything I can do to counter this?
This is pretty demoralizing

That would be like asking someone visually impaired how to play spot to difference

Oh, wow, that sucks to say the least. That's just not cool. I guess, you're in the same niche that every other teenager uses.

Of course, it hurts your channel because whenever somebody sees a video with more dislikes than likes, he/she will most likely choose to watch another video.

I am not sure how to deal with such problems other than switching over to a new niche/channel.

Disable the ratings for a good while until that person gets tired and moves on lol

Report him to YT for harassment, not that they listen. They only seem to listen if you report someone under child abuse. So you could try that

turn off ratings, make comments need approval, use enhanceviews(dot)com and write custom comments and spam his channel back

Start using vagex, rack up views on other people's youtube videos. Once you've earned a bunch of credits (or you could outright buy credits) ... put some views and likes on your own videos. He supplies 8 dislikes, but you can easily give yourself hundreds, not to mention views, subscribers, etc.
