    Hey,

I'm new, and have thought about getting started with some affiliate marketing or building ad-sense sites, but my problem is that i don't have money to invest in buying domains and such. So the question is, if it's possible to make money with free blogging site or domain sites, if executed properly?

Sure it is. There's people making good money with free blogger sites problem is with them is you are at the mercy of WordPress or Google who own the two main free platforms. If they shut them for no reason there goes all your hard word.

Take some time to read around the forum, especially the making money section.

you can start by using blogger or sites like 000webhost.com just remember that these can be removed without much notice so use them until you make enough to get your own domain/hosting and go from there.

there are heaps of guides here on how to start and also ways to get cheap hosting and cheap .info domains, just use the search

OK. I'm still pretty new myself. My advice would be 2 simple things.

1.) Pick a method - Read up on the different way you can make money online and try one. At the moment I am building websites. But they're are tons of ways to make money. There's youtube, twitter, fiverr.

2.) Learn SEO/Keyword research - This will pretty much be the back bone to anything that you want to do to make money online.

You have to realize that money is only one form of investment. Time is also a form of investment. So just take some time to educate yourself on how this whole internet marketing thing works. For me I noticed this, I spent more time learning than I did getting results. What I mean by this is simple. I been working on my site for about 6 months and only the last month or so actually went towards really getting some movement.

You Really just need to learn as much as you can. Then come up with a plan. Once you get a blueprint just keep following it.

You are in the perfect place to learn. The people on here are really nice and there is a lot of information for you here. You just have to read and apply it. Hope this helps.

    Best of luck.

Yes it is possible. You can use smartdot or .tk on freehosting for starter. However it can be removed anytime. Once you made some $, then it would be wise if you have your own domain and hosting since you'll have more control and more benefit of them

Hey again and thanks for the replies.

Yeah i can see the problem with ownership concerning free sites. Seems like getting started with free sites, and then investing in own domains, is the way to go. Ill try to search through some of the guides out there for more specific info.

I am also trying to learn about IM in general and different methods, even though there is so much information, which is a bit overwhelming (why i have chosen to focus on affiliates and ad-sense to start with).

Do not get any of the free domains such as .co.cc or .tk because most of them are banned by Google. Instead use blogger or blogspot, they are somewhat reliable.

I just wanted to say one more quick thing. You would be better off doing you keyword research and writing articles for your soon to be site. This way you will have plenty of content on deck and ready for your when you build your site.

The thing about using free sites is that the person who owns the service has the right to take your blog down if you do something they don't like. If you get your own the site the only person who can take it down is you.

To make you site if you go with hostgator will cost you $0.00 your first month and about $10.00 every month after. With that plan (which may be cheaper now) you can host unlimited websites. The other fee you have to pay is about $10.00 -$15.00 a year to own the domain name (name of site). There are often deals on the first year domain name registration.

So all together assuming you go with host gator and you can't find any sort of deal on a domain name. You looking at $10.01 - $15.01. I hope this helps you to puts things into perspective and answers a few questions.

I am also trying to do keyword research, and think of ideas for content sites, but i think there is a lot of different conflicting advice when it comes to keyword research, which confuses me a bit, especially as a noob :)

I tried signing up for a domain at bluehost and hostgator i think, and while the monthly fee is payable, but they demanded the total amount for a fixed period (i think i had chosen 12 months), which was why i didn't buy it. But ill look into hostgator and see if it was me who missed something.

Yeah its possible...First make the blog with blogger or word-press, then upload the unique content with attractive pictures and videos. Secondly try to apply the best and most user friendly theme on your blog. Third do the proper SEO for that blog and after 1 to 2 month apply for the Google adsense, if you do all the above things properly, then Google must give you the adsense for your blog....when your blog starts earn money via adsense then apply for the affiliate programs and go on.
