HillTopMayhem - Road to $5,000+ a month!

Hi everyone,

Please note : I am a BEGINNER and I will only be using (what I consider) WHITE HAT SEO to get the sites ranking and making money. If you have any advice/tips and tricks let me know! I would love to hear from the more experienced of BHW!

This is my own tracking thread for my setup in which I sell banner space on my niche website to users and make $5,000 a month off this service I offer. I have seen a lot of journeys about PPD and affiliate services but I am going to try go for the long term with a steady income that is a constant once set up. Should (hopefully) be pretty much auto pilot once I am front page.

I currently run one site and my second one is almost ready for launch, working on it to get it worthy of ranking in its quite competitive niche.

Goals:

$100/Month Revenue - [ ]
$500/Month Revenue - [ ]
$1,000/Month Revenue - [ ]
$3,000/Month Revenue - [ ]
$5,000+/Month Revenue - [ ]

Site 1 :

Page 1 Google for Keyword 1 - [ ]
Page 1 Google for Keyword 2 - [ ]

Site 2 :

Page 1 Google for Keyword 1 - [ ]
Page 1 Google for Keyword 2 - [ ]

Current Stats: (Last updated 8/3/14)

Site 1:

Monthly Income : $50
Monthly Expenses : $0
Current Google Rank : Page 3

Positions for current keywords :

Site 2:

TBA

What I have done so far?

Paid for 10k shitty back-links which where no use at all really in the long run, and I used a traffic bot to boost my traffic in-take to around 3k-5k per day which apparently did help my rank, as I have lost a page or so in the past month.

Site 2 has no work on it, its ranking for random words on like page 7-8 on Google but the keywords I plan to target have nothing yet.

My Plan :

Learn to do TRUE SEO using BHW as a rough source of information and outside information, once again any tips are more then welcome! :-DD

Good luck on your journey. My only piece of advice is to try to stay away from buying shitty back links as much as possible. The only type of shitty links that occasionally work medium-long term are shitty ones that YOU create yourself.

Yeah, I believe I am learning that the hard way. I have the list of the 10,000 back links so I could just disavow them all. May do that if people feel that is the best way to go about it.

You said you were going to do this journey White Hat but then say that you bought 10000 backlinks? I'm confused.

Either way good luck!

That was my mistake, doing that put me off any other sort of blackhat system. Thankfully I only did 10,000 and it only cost me like $10 so I am not out of pocket for my silly mistake.

Here are some more statistics on my Site 1 Project.

The traffic boosting as you can see helped my Alexa ranking, but what you can also notice is that the one day I did not boost my traffic I got exactly the same amount of real visitors as I have been getting in in the past few weeks. Leading me to believe that fake traffic is not worth the time or effort in the current state of search engines. Although my rank has dropped since not boosting the traffic.

I will post later today when I finally do some work on some blog posts and articles. Something along those lines.

good luck mate. i am sure with right attitude and strategy you will succeed.

Just some quick updates :

Site 1 has had no work done. Looking at possible ways to move it forward.

Site 2 now has a 3 year ages Premium domain with exact keyword URL (waiting on escrow to finalise). Also my coder has finished up the features that users will pay for, second site is now coming together.
