Before PR3 Now PR0 WTF ???

I have just checked my PR that use to be a 3 now it's a ZERO. My site is down at the moment because I am about install a new program on it which I don't think it should have effected it. My site is not a blog so I do not have duplicate content on it etc etc. It is only 4 months old, still indexed in Google and says that I have 800+ links when I checked the link: mysite.com.

Can someone shed some light why Google has just kicked me in the nads ? Have I been penalized ? if so how can I find out ? anbd what for ?

Your site pr will fluctuate. The posted pr is just what it happened to be right when the last update is done. If you had some backlinks from high pr sites, some backlinks from relevant authority sites etc., it's possible that some of them may have been removed, or those sites themselves had some reduction in pr.

That's why it's more important to just develop a backlinking strategy and continue working it. If you stick to an overall strategy, then your sites SERP postition and PR should improve over time, even if there are some fluctuations. If you're constantly worrying about the PR you're liable to keep chasing a new plan everytime you see a drop and so never really develop what you need to get the best results.

Are you sure your pr is really gone? I've noticed that since G made some changes, my seobook tool bar doesn't always display pr. You might check your pr with a couple of different sources to be sure.

Did google push the update or what? I haven't noticed anything..?

I've noticed one of my sites go down from PR1 to PR0 today... but nothing on my other sites

My six day old blog dissapeared from the serps completely today. Could this have something to do with the update?
