Hello all! I'm going to start here with all the boring details, so if you want the tl;dr, skip to the end.
I live in the USA and only speak English. I've been hard at work studying Kotlin and learning Android development, because most of the threads I've read on here about money making include one thing - you must have a skill!
As I get deeper, im looking at the end game potentials of where this will lead me. Of course the ultimate goal is to develop my own apps for sale and/or publish free apps with ads. The end goal is always to be my own boss. But now the hard question.
How realistic is it, and how hard would it be to make a living wage developing my own apps? I want to make real apps, not just reskinned and spammy ones. Is this a realistic career choice? Would I be better off possibly doing freelance work, or getting certifications and working for a company?
Thank you in advance!
