Been Almost A Year Since My Heart Attack

@proxygo I have to say you're a true inspiration.
I won't lie, I've had a few heart problem scares in the past year and I sh*t my pants every time.
I can't imagine the amount of bravery and determination that it took to be in your shoes over the past year, and the fact that you have kept such a positive attitude is insane!
Please keep us up to date on how things are turning out for you in the future, I'm sure a year from now we will see another update :) best of luck my friend.

I'm pretty glad you are all well and I'm pretty sure you are going to be better and better! Go lion, you'll show your life who's the KING!!

@MrSponge @GeeKent -
ide say if i had to score my progress over the last year, ide give myself a 7.5 outa 10.
So - i quit the smoking the same night of my attack Nov 23rd 2020
My walks 3/5 times a week at 4.5 miles per walk are reasonable

I have weights i use indoors to do 200 reps daily.
my food is going well, salad 4x a week, boiled chicken diner Sunday, bacon sandwich
once a week and home made mince beef and onion pie once a week.
breakfast is the same. porridge oats and a slice of toast with orange juice daily.

Now when i went into hospital i was 11 stone. = 154lbs.
within 2 months of my attack my weight dropped slightly to 10 stone 8 = 151 lbs

baring that in mind i asked my doctor, as i have given up everything they asked
me to, done everything they asked me to do, i asked them , can i keep my
STARTBURSTS ie OPAL FRUITS. the doctor said yes.

now the fault is mine that i OD on the starbursts candy and put on 7 pounds
in the last year so my weight now sits at 11 stone 2 = 156LBS
i mean overall i lost 3lbs and gained 4 over all, and i will chip off
the gained extra 4lbs

Its a learning exp - thats why i only give myself 7.5 outa 10
i am allowed a little candy, just not as much that i dont gain another
4lbs.....ille work on it........over all i feel im doing better than the average guy.

so stop smoking to start smoking - i see a flaw in this plan
why would i quit smoking a year ago to start smoking again :eek:

i misread that you didn't stop smoking - in that case don't smoke anything - the logic, if you were, is that you prob only would smoke 1 or 2 joints a day vs a pack of smokes - and that you could get yourself off nicotine.

Take care buddy.
The life we live here is different and the life what we are in real life is different.
Always mix up with people's who are close to your heart this way there will be no pressure on your heart and you will feel light

over all i feel im doing better than the average guy.

You definitely are! Keep your habits of taking long walks when your body is comfortable with it, and keep slow, long, and steady breathing while taking a walk. That would do good to your heart in the long run.
