Hey guys!
Someone with email marketing experience might be able to help me. But I am grateful for any advice that is out there.
So I have this 60 day info weightloss product that I used to sell via youtube ads (direct response approach - no content marketing as of now). The issue was that the AOV is too low to remain profitable throughout the year (I have one core product, 42,- stays in my pocket after digistore24 takes their cut and I have one upsell for which 36,- stays in my pocket).
As of now when the user takes the upsell there is a 60 day email coaching sequence. They get an email every day talking about a topic. Sometimes the topic is related to the videos in the course sometimes it is completely unrelated.
I discovered that nutriprofits has tons of nutra products for all kinds of health conditions and I was thinking I might be able to be profitable if I go for the long-run game.
Option 1) I rewrite the 60 day email sequence a bit and add the affiliate links of nutriprofits. I would also make it so that the email sequence is now available to all users that purchased the core product as well.
Option 2) The direct response ad currently leads to a quiz funnel. So what I could do is put an opt-in before they get to see their results (which then redirects to the 1-hour long VSL). With these emails I could then come up with a 60 day email sequence that is just slightly modified from the 60 day email sequence for buyers and then monetize with affiliate links. Basically having an email sequence for non-buyers.
Option 3) Included in the 60 day info course there is a 7 day starter course (used it as a lead magnet when I started out Jeff Walker style). I could give away the 7 day info course (which has its own email sequence with a 3 day email launch sequence for the 60 day course). So I could still sell the 60 day course....and maybe have a slightly modified 60 day affiliate email sequence for all 3 groups (non buyers, buyers, upsell buyers).
Option 4) Give away everything for free (7 day course, 60 day course + upsell) and building a massive list of most likely free loaders and non-responders and then categorizing the list according to "Who wants to improve their skin?", "Who has issues with blood sugar?",....according to the products that I chose from Nutriprofits.
So now since we are all confused...
What is your experience with monetizing an email sequence like that?
Which auto-responder would you recommend? The structure is currently set up on active campaign. Any better/more cost effective alternatives? What is the go-to email auto-responder for growing massive lists?
Any great email affiliates that you know of from who I could get some inspiration of how it is done in real life?
