Hi. I'm a 22 year old software developer and per time internet marketer. I currently work remotely for a software company, on Upwork and on my online business as well. I have always struggled to do all these things together. Lacking in proper time management, focus and motivation. I always blamed it on being distracted by school activities. Well, I'm done with college now and somehow the problem still persists. All those things might seem too much to achieve at once but I know with good time management and discipline I can make good progress with them.

My aim of starting this journey is to have a source of motivation. I am starting it with the hopes that more eyes and words from fellow forum members will help me stay focused. Any advice on how I can become more productive and focused will be appreciated. Thank you.

Well you said your time management is shit. Start there, try to create a time schedule for upcoming days or the whole week

If what you do isn't something you LOVE, I mean LOVE, finding success will be tough. I'm an MMA fighter, that's my passion, something I love more than anything. But dang, I LOVE IM. I could work 14 hours a day and be grateful. An icon successful person never needed motivation to get to where they are. The drive comes naturally. Trust me, I used to be the same as you. What I recommend is taking IM out of the equation, look inside of you, and when you find content with who you are and your future, then come back to IM. I never made consistent income with IM until I was consistently in joy with my life even if I had everything taken away from me.

Have faith and be courageous, you'll get there. It may take months, may take years, but in the end, you will feel GREAT with life.

Thank you for this piece.

Finding motivation is really difficult these days.

However, to do so you first need to create an extremely time management schedule and really stick to it like your life depends on it.

Once you do so, you will create a habit and once the habit is created will be very easy for you to continue so.

Human living is all about habit mostly, a habit of eating breakfast (some people never eat because they never ate when they children).

As an example, ask someone who has like 1 year that goes at gym, they will say they might struggle at first weeks because they were not used to do so.

I have over 1 year going at gym, personally, the first weeks I struggle to go because I wasn't used of getting tired like that, keep weight etc etc.

Once I created the habit that everyday at 10 AM I had to go at gym I didn't have anymore the issue.

Now, if I stay a day or two without going I start getting angry and stressed out.

Hey mate, had a similar problem so I hit up the r/getdisciplined subreddit and found a few gems, here's two

Thank you so much. I tried something similar few weeks ago. I woke up early in the mornings, took a cold shower and started my day. I Lasted just 3 days though after something interrupted the flow. I was back to normal scattered work schedules. I'll work hard to push it to a week and see how I go from there.
