Becoming discouraged with Twitter Traffic.

Isn't twitter more of a click, watch type of traffic instead of getting conversions and sales?

i'd say, twitter can be useful for some, who uses different approach, but i have similar findings
my best personal experience with twitter moneywise, when twtmob paid $32 for a single tweet and then some on one of my 30k accs lol, this wasn't yesterday though
on a side note, a huge percentage of the twitter traffic comes from every kind of bots and i think bit.ly doesn't filter those: http://blog.manageflitter.com/bots-what-why-and-their-impact-your-twitter-click-through-statistics
bot clicks can be as high as 3/4 or even more of the total clicks, but even then it's a pretty shitty conversion rate you got there

Pretty discouraged today OP, huh? If you are able to drive traffic to links easily try a different approach - people aren't too interested in buying stuff on a social network from my experience. I get a few sales from Instagram per day but that's it.

You mean you sell tweets? For $32 for a single tweet wow cool.
And you're right for that 3/4 of the clicks are bots, spiders, crawlers.
Here's the real stat
4k of clicks to be precise, I think there are bots from these traffic too.

i did, not anymore, quitted twitter all together
but if you have legit accs with a huge follower base, sites like twtmob, sponsoredtweets definitely worth a try, they notify you when a campaign is available, you get paid for posting tweets and keeping them up for a day or two, most of times those aren't even spammy stuff, so it won't really bother your followers either
you aren't paid by conversion rate, not even PPC, you are paid just for posting, but if your tweet doesn't convert well, you won't get that many campaigns next time or you get campaigns with lower payout only
