Becoming a full time graphic designer [Thoughts and discussion]

Hi there BHW, my name is Hugo!

I've been doing graphic design since 3 years back and there have been it's ups and downs.
Starting off selling my banners to small businesses via forums, to having some good gigs at Fiverr, to now being member of a marketing team in based in NYC. I just graduated school and want to settle down with this as a full-time job.

The plan is to sell my graphic to different companies social media pages, with "social media post design" as my niche.
Example: look at "8Facts" posts.

They all have the same design profile and therefore people know their branding when they see their posts. That's what my task is; to create a nice looking graphical profile for each and every client to me.

Seems confusing? Might be, but I think this will be great!
Now I will share my complete story here in this thread, and I will appreciate your help.

To get my clients I will need to reach out somehow, and I've been thinking about DM'ing every 10k+ followers page I can find without any pattern or some sort of design in their posts. Introducing myself, my services and what I can give them to grow their page.

Now, I've got a question. Is there any tool I can use to find pages with a specific amount of followers so I won't have to find them manually with the app?

You would need to replace "10.1k" with various amounts; ie. "10.2k", "10.3k". This can be easily automated as well, but since I don't have a need for this, it doesn't make sense to build it.

No problem!

You can use something like iMacros to automatically perform the searches - "10.1K", "10.2K", etc. - and scrape the results. You can even have it automatically send the scraped usernames messages then.

The possibilities are endless!
