DM on Instagram, subscribe to a bunch of YouTubers, wait until they post that they're hiring editors and put your hat in the jar (it happens more often than you think).
Offer your services on Fiverr/Upwork. Lots of YouTubers hire through Upwork.
Make meme/portfolio videos, send them via donation to a twitch streamer, if they like you, hit them up on Discord saying you edited that video and you're looking for work.
 
I disagree with people that say adobe premiere is hard to learn, you can spend 1 week on it and then learn how to do editing.
the key to the method is still marketing, how you promote yourself.
there are people just doing this than hiring other people to do the work for them. a lot of people lack the skill on marketing

You can get emails from their Youtube page , About page. With one Gmail account you can get around 5 emails. Get 20 Gmail accounts and you will get 100 daily emails. That's more than enough if you are working alone. Save info in excel - link to that YT account, email and socials. I will follow-up on socials the week after I have sent out the email. There are Discord groups also , where you can connect with different youtubers and also groups to find work. But I found great success with email and IG alone.
