Beats By Dre NOTE

Just a quick mention about selling/importing dr dres.

It is getting even more risky everyday, I lost a huge shipment to customs which landed me a visit from the UK representitives of Monster.

The UK border agency now has a file on me.....

While the guy was at mine we got talking (after I had signed form after form) he told me people had been prosecuted for shipping as little as 7 units.

I my self struck a deal with the company...

Anyway as we spoke he told me about how Monster where stepping up about counterfits, here is what I recall:

1. Monsters factories are in China, however they have all under gone huge security upgrades to stop "components" leaking on to the streets.

2. Monster is no longer issuing warnings, they are going directly to prosecutions.

3. Sennheiser and Monster are together setting up a unit to monitor ebay.

4. They are increasing test purchases on ebay/websities.

5. The focus has shifted from suppliers in China to the retailers in the UK/USA, where they can fully utilize the law.

Ebay is also dishing out 30 day suspensions much more than before for VeRO violations.

If you want to continue, use dropshipping....

A statistic which shocked me: On average 9 Dr Dre shippments are seized a day entering the UK...

Thats just my 2 cents, I lost a lot of money and months of work when my shipment was siezed....

Sugarnube is right - it's getting harder to sell Beats on eBay and I would HIGHLY recommend you not to sell them as there are prolific guides out there teaching customers the difference between real and fake beats.

This lesson should have been learned a long time ago. Replicas are getting harder and harder to sell on eGay each day. Try thinking outside the box! There are so many more avenues for selling besides for the bay. Utilize these avenues!

Do what you want at your own risk, your not garanteed to be caught, I went months without any trouble, but that was a while ago...

My post was just to outline the risks, a lot of people get involved with out realising the true risks.

I had a few sites taken down that were ranking very well for 'dre beats' related terms, was gettings hundreds of unique visitors per day then BAM ! gone

I'd also recommend going down the drop shipping route , think I would if I was going to start again.

Count yourself lucky, before me the lawyers had visited a guy ranking on google, the guy had a porche, warehouses, nice house etc...all finanance by replicas, he is now in Jail.

I will then indeed I suppose that's the risk you have to take with these items !

the only bit I would pipe up at is your numbers at the end re 9 shipments a day getting stopped, that is pretty much the smallest number any lawyer could have used to scare anyone.....there must be 10,000 units a day going into the Uk at a conservative guess, if they are trying to scare people they should say 1000 or something

As above ebay is a total no go for these as they are just far too hot, just looked now and there are only 380 listings on ebay, a month ago it was closer to 5000 so Monster have just choked it and there will be no more on ebay that is for sure

It's too late to cancel my order. I hope they get through and I will not be ordering anymore. I thought you could only get into trouble if you was selling them or they could prove you had the intent to sell them?

I was going to give them as gifts to family. I found a good deal on them and I'm holding them for Christmas and birthdays. I had them shipped to two different addresses so it's not all in 1 box.

I wouldnt mind a using a set of these myself
