Last night Ellen broke the all time most RT record with an Oscars selfie. She is nearly up to 3Million RTs at the moment. My question, purely of curiosity, is how much money would it cost for someone to Blackhat Purchase/Buy RT's from big accounts to surpass 3Million?

I did some math and just purchasing (inactive) RTs would cost around $15,000. But it makes you think doesn't it? The exposure that would be brought to an account/company if you were able to buy RT's from big accounts and fill in the rest with inactive RTs?

"Holy Cow, a small town burger joint beat Ellen's record with a picture of 7 pickles!"

It's just something I thought I might bring to the table. And all the power to someone who would go all out with a campaign like this. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

It's an interesting thought. But it would be a big gamble investing that much in something that might not pay off, and even if it did, you couldn't really be sure on the level of reward.

I just saw that on the T.V lol that's pretty crazy and it made twitter crashed for a bit

When you get to that number you are going to attrack all sorts of unwanted attention. My guess is those retweets won't last longer than 12 hours.

You are thinking about it now but the record breaker has actually done it before you even thought about it.
