Hey guys I would just like to know how hard would it be to beat the Google maps box on the search results.
Is it like god like hard, like Wikipedia.
Or just like any old normal competitor

Hi Handi just look for googlemapcash links in the forum if they are still in here they show you how to beat everyone else to the best places on the search results.

Google Maps Cash is a great start, but there is more too it. In reality it is just like optimizing your website. Build a strong profile, build solid backlinks (citations) which are relevant, get reviews, and over time you will show up in the 7 box (Caveat being if it is a smaller city a lot of times you can get there fast).

As far as some new stuff they have been doing, watch for Geo stuffing the titles. They are auto flagging a lot of listing for that. Also if you are a locksmith, or mover don't even waste your time. The way around that is to start a profile on CitySearch.com or Insiderpages.com, which are direct data feeds to Google. Build them out just like you would with your maps profile, and a lot of times Google will pick it up.

Thanks for the quick response guys but I guess I should have explained a bit further since it seems you have misunderstood. I meant I saw a keyword I liked and was going to try it out but then saw that a Google Maps box was in the first place. Now I want to have a normal website, not inside the box, not a part of the maps. I am however curious if the box is hard to outrank normally. If your wondering though, the keyword itself is pretty easy to rank for.
Thank again guys. :D

My opinion is it is impossible or nearly impossible.

Google decided they want a google maps box to pop up and they get what they want.

Not impossible because I usually see 2 or 3 results ahead of the box, just wondering how hard they worked to get up there. Seems like most people in this niche/keyword don't know crap about backlinks, so that could be a reason the box is first place.
