Beat the competition

Hello.

Let's say you have an idea about a website, you google the keyword you want to rank, and you see the competition in Google

What are the parameters you consider to out rank them? Which tool you use to see the weakenesses the website gets?

How would we know? There are noobs here that know programming, done know ai etc...
Point being how would we know your skillset? As someone said just check it out, you won't get spoonfed here for broad questions.

That's the whole process man. In short: put the list of competitors, analyze SERP landscape, evaluate difficulty, get keyword ideas based on your competition and build content strategy, check competitors' sure structure, on-page optimisation and content metrics,backlink profiles, social media. Do better than your competition and perform analysis constantly. Here in details, about tools also.

Although in most cases an examination of your competitor's authority may help establish whether you can beat them or not, but most often, it's really difficult to justify as these metrics are consistently changing and new links are built every now and then.
What I normally do would be to ensure that the keyword is confirmed to be profitable, has perhaps 1k-10k traffic potential, and none-brand sites being listed in the SERP, then that would be something doable.
Most often, those brand sites, I find them to be really cheating, as due to their authority, they can rank even rubbish on the SERP.
