Be Honest, do you Torrent Everything you can?

You raise very valid points. I use a certain newsgroup, $10/month, and newsl33cher, (plus a free private torrent community) and I get pretty much whatever I want in the way of music, movies, games, tv shows, software....you get the point. I see both sides. As a writer and musician, sure, I'm losing out on revenue....on the other hand, if somebody downloads my latest record for free and falls in love with it, you don't think they'll be yammering it all up to everyone of their friends? Personally, while I know and believe in the business of art....I believe more in the fact that art should be enjoyed by everybody. It's not like Kanye or Lady Gaga (or whoever) is hurting for money because you're downloading their shit for free. Also, in a way, its free word of mouth advertising (which we all know is the BEST kind of advertising). I also pay for my service every month, as far as I'm concerned if the newsgroup isn't kicking anything back to the industries, that's on them. I hope they are, but I know they aren't. Another point....I've downloaded many movies, shows, music and software (especially software!) that were just dreadful. I'm glad I was able to try them out (full versions, no demo b.s.) before dropping 10's or 100's of dollars on them. Will I buy a product that is kick ass that I scraped? Sometimes. You also have to remember, for the most part, by the time a movie, song, game or software gets cracked....the artist/dev has already made theirs....and will continue too....in some ways, it behooves them to get reach into a market they price themselves out of...even if for free, because of the word of mouth advertising/testimonials.

Hey man, I do the same things bro!

And I agree, I think that your post is just an example of what the future will look like for ALL of us (or atleast most of us)

We would pay a monthly fee somewhere, and get everything we want.

I just don't think it will be the original site owners profiting.

I think the MIAA and teh RIAA will get its shit together and actually start using that model themselves, and have a HULU like service for ALL its content, since they still own most of the popular content people watch and listen to.

Oh, BTW, that Lady Gaga IS hurtin my dude. Did you see the article about her being in debt from the tour?

Anyway, yeah man, I think thats the future model. I don't think that will change. Its just where that money your paying is going that will change!

@gb5000

Debt just means money owed to someone,it doesn't automatically mean you owe more money then your making or have in assets. And it was because she decided to spend $3 million on crazy outfits.

Indeed, the label foots the bill for touring costs. If the tour ain't profitable, its on them.

p.s. - if one could acquire licensing rights to music, movies, tv shows, software, etc.....basically a legal newsgroup....you'd be ROLLIN in it....I guess they call it Amazon....but better.

Yeah? Sounds like a fun hobby. I personally prefer travelling, having sex with beautiful women, and sipping mojitos on the beach myself.
Well, one hobby does not exclude another.

Cool, good for you, bro. I'm personally proud that I make enough money to be able to give back to the economy by buying my culture.

And you'd have more money and you'd be able to consume more and better culture if you did not have to trek out/wait for Parcelforce , to get your DVD's. If you wanna give back to the economy, vote Labour. They will give even more of your tax money to Jamaican drumming groups and museums for historical welding equipment.

Don't you still need to have a working serial to torrent? I tried doing it once with an accounting program from New Zealand and it didn't work at all.

No my dude, I just pointed out the touring thing to give you guys a clue on one of the reasons (there are more) why she got in deep dodo.

She in bigger trouble then you guys know about, its just not reported in the news (and probely never will be).

She owes ALOT more then 3 mill.

I know. What i'm saying is big media has been dragging its feet trying to preserve the older model, but in the future they will have to adopt the cluod model in order to survive.

But first, they are gonna come after those guys who are already providing that service WITHOUT getting consent from the majors. And since they don't own the copyrights to that material, if they host r live in developing country's, they are gonna get the same treatment as megaupload.

It can't work anyother way. They have to get the profits so they can reinvest and make more movies, music, and tv shows.

So thats whats happening now.

BTW, Amazon still pays a percentage to the Media Companies, newgroups keeps the profits.

But they are now more tech suave then they were 10 years ago, so they now know about most of the ways people would try and download, hence the bills!

There's not "tons" of fraud and scams. This isn't a fraud/scam forum.

I'm not sure why you're asking what the FBI are going to do. They can do a whole lot. Anyone else who's talking about "fraud and scams" on a public forum is a retard.

I've seen so many methods and tutorials in the Making Money section which involves going into chatrooms and asking people to click your ads. That's fraud.

This is a blackhat marketing forum. We make money using legal, blackhat techniques like scrapebox, bookmark demon, senuke, social media spam, youtube spam and other similar methods.

If you didn't know, spam is illegal! A few people that were making millions from spamming Craigslist and selling PVA's were sent to jail and fined because they were eventually caught.

Sometimes I can't find hat I need on torrents. That's when I put on my sky mask...

Regarding movie resolution, you guys do realize there are private trackers with HD-Ready (720p) and Full-HD (1080p) movies right? Obviously you need great peering to get a 25GB movie and a god PC to be able to watch it.

Such trackers are not as popular as TPB and the like and that's a good thing because they don't stick out.

Then there are trackers with pretty much every IM course ever released, every software you can imagine, etc. No, no XRumer - the XRumer coders worked their ass of to make it insanely hard to crack - anti-debugging timer protection, encryption and the like.

Personally I just prefer to buy the software because I know is not virused. I only buy what I really need as opposed to some who buy shit just because others use it.

Then you have the deep net, TOR/.onion and the anonymous network layers for really interesting and fucked up shit. If you manage to evade the child porn, smuff vids and paranoiac conspiration theory crap, you might find a thing or two that are interesting. I don't spend much time there though.

I wouldn't recommend going into the deepnet for anyone. There's actually nothing interesting. Just criminals, hackers, and people with weird fetishes. The most interesting thing I saw was a rule list sort of thing for Anonymous. It taught anyone that wants to make announcements on behalf of them how to speak and what guidelines to follow. Pretty clever shit they've got going on.

As I said it is mostly crap but I did find a few good reads in there. Not something illegal or specific to the deep net, it just happened to be there and not on the internet.

No I don't torrent. . I like PC clean of virus. I don't think there is a torrent out there that doesn't have a trojan on it these days. jk . . but you know what i mean

Run Linux or Mac and you will not have that problem.

Besides. An AVI or an MP3 can not launch a virus. They are not executables. Just know what you are doing and you will never get infected.
