Hi guys, hope you had a good weekend.

I have been building up a site for almost a year now. After a lot of dancing on G, I finally got my site in the top three of page 1 for my primary keyword.

The product I am selling wasn't moving as well as I would of expected, the design of the site obviously needed a bit of tweaking, but I was getting around 4k unique targeted adult traffic a day that I didn't want to waste in the meantime, so I decided to ad a Plugrush banner to my site. I didn't use a mobile redirect, pop-under or Adblock notice, just the banner.

Within 3 days, BOOM, my site has vanished from the serps. I thought this may be another dance due to the addition of the banner, but two weeks later, nothing has changed.

The revenue created by using Plugrush was very small, around $5 per day, so IMO, I have screwed my website for the price of a bus journey per day for a few days.

My bad for being greedy and impatient I guess, but if you are thinking of using Plugrush with organic traffic, think very carefully before doing so.

    James :)

Sorry to hear that James. Hopefully something appears in your backlink profile sooner or later and you can do a root-cause analysis on this. Please keep us updated.

Plugrush banners (Plugs) come with mobile redirect included in them if you don't manually deactivate it. Anyway James thanks posting this problem with PR and a fair warning, it will be very useful for all those that were not aware of some of the deindexing/SERP punishment that Google delivered to adult blogs using PR ads during the last months.

My personal experience was that for some of my blogs nothing happened, they were not really affected at all but of course there were some that have been buried into oblivion.

I hope your site recover now that you've removed the code that probably started the problem.

It looks like google has implemented the update on adult sites already.

It had something to do with duplicate content or something of that sort.

    Thanks for the heads up.

When you use pop under like plug rush and juicy ad's there always a risk. They tend to irritate the users with irrelevant ad's and webmasters with earning like penny.
I would rather choose a cpa offers instead of plug rush or juicy ad unless my website it automated and i don't care about it.

Hi. I did go into the plugin's setting to deactivate the mobile redirect etc. So, removing the plugin won't alone wont necessarily remove the the code?

Thanks everyone for your advice btw :)

Sure, removing PR's plugin and the plugs from your blog will remove everything related to PlugRush (their ads, mobile redirects, etc.) so don't worry for any further punishment from Google now that you've removed everything from Plugrush from your blog.

If your site was deindexed, have you considered contacting Google for a manual review of your site?
I think they have a form to send applications for that matter and see if they can re-index your site (if it was just punished in SERPS I don't think there's much to do but wait now.)

Are you sure it was a issue with PlugRush? I recommend you to sign up your website at Google Webmaster Tools, by doing that you will be warned if Google has some problem with your website and you can know exactly what to do.
