Be Careful.... to Google Panda 3.9

That's great. Seems you got it down. I just see so many complaints and I still people still using the same techniques over and over again and then cry over spilt milk.

Congrats on knowing what works :)
Thanks!!!!!

I agree with you - yet, till some point.

Some of the latest updates were highly necessary since quite a while and, although I also had something gone for some months (Panda) and still resting in peace (Penguin) I am sure that all those ones of us that had ...s**tty niche sites and proper good websites had to suffer a lot for the former and not that much for the latter.

Yet, again, that's not the way you fight wannabies. Because,as stated by someone else earlier in this same thread, way too many updates are generally promoting Wikipedia&Co killing some of the valuable competition these sites have. And, meh! Me no likes it too much - both from the perspective of someone living in this industry and of someone loving the Internet.

I know I know. I was being semi-sarcastic. The updates are shit as they get rid of a ton of good sites too. But from a positive standpoint, it really gets rid of the people who just want to "try it out". If SEO was easy and there was no risk, than we would see the SERPS far more competitive and far much harder to make our monies.

I think I am just tired of working hard and spending every day learning and trying new things and finally figuring out what works, to have a bunch of wannabies crying about updates, wanting a guarantee and the how do I make money type.

To make me sleep better at night, the updates do keep people from resorting to SEO and those who are still in the game should and will be rewarded. That is until Google eventually comes along and fucks over everyone.

"That is until Google eventually comes along and fucks over everyone."
:D :D :D It could not be more true than that :D

I don't know how all you seo specialists keep up with the constant changing in the seo field, am trying to gently feel my way around the massive subject of seo and i know far far less than I thought I did before I started :s

Hahaha, my rankings shot up. All of them! In fact im ranking on the first page for a keyword that is so competitive that i cant believe that im ranking for it!

Be careful???

If your site is going to get fucked... it will... regardless of how "careful" you are right when you hear about the update.

Just get used to it. Google isn't as dependable as a source of traffic anymore. They change their mind every month.

Google will keep on kicking the ass of SEO guys. More updates would follow after this one.

I stopped giving a sh*t about these updates long time ago.. I just do what I've always done, build content and get backlinks (from various sources). Some of my sites do well while others go nowhere, so what? It's enough for me that some of my websites bring home the bacon

G00gle rankings are changing so fast these days that I don't even really bother following the rankings of my sites too much. One month I may have one website making lots of money and the next month it's a completely different website that is the top earner..

For example: I have a site that was earlier making only 15 to 20 bucks a day and now for the last two months it has been 100 to 200 bucks a day. Then again I have a site that did just the opposite. I build a lot of website (mostly MNS) just because G00gle is nuts these days and you better have some other websites ready if you lose rankings on other ones..

I got hurt by this update, though so did most the people on Page 1 for the same result as me. I see it as.. at least I'm not the only one. I'll keep building backlinks and get my position back. Hopefully my competitors do too, as I'd hate to see them fall out like this.

Out of the 23 Keywords I am tracking for my main project, I had a couple slip a spot or two but nothing major. No major gains either but all of my words are still in the top 5, so much easier to lose than gain. Guess Google has no issues with my method so far. We will see again in two weeks; LOL.

AHHHH!
Matt do you know that you really suck?
tired of Bites from Panda, penguin. Need to kiss someone's ass now :(

Hmm I very long discussion over here.......

This discussion cannot be over ever If we start, Google and its updates and our ranking ever looks same there are so many changes,
stay updated create natural links, when ranking lose don't lose your hope the biggest things!
Internet marketing is full of risk and money, To earn money we need to take risk but our hard work always help us, if we correct and doing our work in correct manner then there will be no problems.

I the last I only want to say you guys never lose your hope and do as much work as you can,Love yourself and your family friends and your job be happy and make your dream true.........

"Dreams are not what you see in sleep. They are the things that do not let you sleep...."

How patronizing....so you are here for the glory and for the moral effect of building links..and not for the money? Sorry to bust your balls but the Hall of Fame is full of people like you :)

Can your statement be anymore obvious? No offense to you but this is SEO 101 and still people are fuckin lazy and don't even do a quarter of this than cry when an update happens.

I love updates. They get rid of the cry baby wannabies who see a keyword that has x amount of searches and go towards that one keyword using that keyword as anchor, than get slammed and complain Google sucks. Updates are amazing when you know what you are doing. I have sites that I haven't build a dam link to in 8 months and each update I keep going up and up as google gets rid of the wannabies.

More updates = less wannabies. I purpose Google to do more updates and just get rid of these "how do I make money" type people already.

Funny because there is enough info here for people to really make it through "most" of the updates (yes no one is prone) but still people are out targeting one keyword with 3 different anchors. Try targeting 100 keywords with 800 different anchors. Doesn't look more natural than that.

Unfortunately it is about being ahead of the game. Obviously the old techniques from 10 years ago aren't going to work anymore. As some people have already posted on this thread, if you can be ahead of the game you actually will see massive increases in your rankings.

By being ahead, I am talking about thinks like extremely diverse anchor text in your inbound links, non-spammy onsite SEO, real content, etc.
