Be Careful of Deathbycaptcha extra billing

For anyone using deathbycaptcha be careful of being billed extra.I'm enclosing a copy of conversation I had with their customer service. I have yet to hear anything back from them. Please review your bank statements for these additional charges as well. Just imagine if there was 100,000 people got charges like this. It adds up.

lol, scam warning..

I don't think deathbycaptcha could be blamed. They use third party billing services and if on the payment page the charge was what you think you paid its probably avangate doing something

Save yourself the trouble and use VCC's and Pre-paids with the amount you need when possible.

And DbC is straight up.... they aren't in the business of screwing peep's... (yet lol)

use decaptcher i have been using them for over a year now and never had any problems and they take paypal as well

I bought more than 100$ on captchas with them and never received this extra billings.

@ onestop i made a purchase recently , via my BOA account, what i feel is 6.95$ for 1k credits , but when you check out an additional 1.39$ comes up saying VAT, the third party billing shows this, so that adds up to 8 $ odd, this might show up on the BOA statement twice.
I may be wrong here.

it sounds like VAT which is charged by the processor, not dbc. but, i could be wrong.

Exactly what other users say. VAT charged, so the money is in some government's pocket right now. (Nope, not ours )

Were you by any chance using an european proxy when you made your purchase?
