Hello all,

i would like your help on the following:

I want Skype to open at 6pm Monday through Friday [and maybe close by itself at 11pm]. The problem is that i wont be able to be at my desk not until 9pm.

I thought maybe there is a way to make this work by creating a batch file.

If someone can throw any ideas i will greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

Poly

Thanks thevil,

one question:

When you run the Wizzard at some point, it asks for a username and psw. Is this my Skype username and psw?

Ididnt set anything in the above field. Now that i go to the task properties, i see a field that says "Run As",which currently has my computername anduser==> LG1\DAVID. Right next to it there is a field that says "SET PASWORD". Should i leave it as it is, or should i enter Skype account info there

Thanks

Poly

You can save your username and password.

I don't remember when I entered mine last time. Think like 3-4 months ago.

guys thanks for your input,

i keep having the same problem: the task never starts.

It seems to have a problem when giving the username and psw,

do i use

1 the username / psw to log itno the computer??

or

2 he username / psw to log itno Skype???

i have tried both and nothing happens

Thanks

It's the user the process will run as, so you should enter your Windows username and password.

thanks for this,

however i am having the following problem:

i run the wizzard ==> selllect Skype and then comes the screen where it asks you to enter username and psw

=======================

Where it says : ENTER THE USERNAME

it has highlighted GFX3\DAVE ==> Which is the pc name and user name ot log in

where t says ENTER THE PASSWORD

i leave it blank, cause i dont use a psw to log in

==========================

then i get the follownig error msg:

"The new task has been created, but may not run because the account information could not be set.

The specific error is:

0x80070005: Access is denied

Try using the Task page to locate the application"

If you could help me out i would greatly appreciat it.

Thanks

The user account you are using must be password protected to use it to run a scheduled task, so you'll either need to password protect your account or create another password protected account. You could use the Administrator account if you want I suppose. Yes, that sucks if you don't normally use a password, blame Microsoft.

Thanks Ricky,

i will try it out and post results tomorrow

Thanks for the tip.

it works perfect.

If you know how can i stop the task. I went to settings ==> stop the task if it runs for 5 hours. But the task didnt stop. I had to do it manualy.

If anyone knows how to do it, it would be a great help

Thanks

Poly
