Basic response to thread triggering block. No idea why.

I'm trying to respond to a thread I started, but it keeps blocking me:

The thing is, by response is normal -- no links, no / even! What's going on?


Also, how can I modify a previous post? My contact info is in it by accident... can I donate to get to a level where I can modify my own posts?

You're a brand new member and we get an awful lot of spam so you've got the highest level of restrictions on posting at the moment. This includes certain words that tend to appear in spam posts for example: domain names, spammed sites or keywords. We can't provide an exhaustive list of the blocked words as this tends to defeat the purpose of having them.

You can try resubmitting the post as often as you'd like taking out any words that you think might have triggered the spam prevention. Once you've made 15 good quality posts, the restrictions are lowered gradually, up until you've got 100 posts at which point you have the same restrictions as any other member.

In regards to modifying a previous post: If you can't edit the post yourself yet, you can click on the "report post" underneath it and submit a ticket for a mod to edit or remove the post.

I had this issue also, logging out and re-logging in sometimes does the trick
