Basic question on Google rankings tracking...

Hey guys really basic question here that I couldn't seem to find an answer by combing the previous posts:

I know how to use Google Adwords keyword tool to check out and value different keywords, but... what is a good (free) tool I can use to track how different sites are ranking on certain keywords (aside from simply googling it and going page by page of course) so that I can keep an eye on movements?

I need a little light shed on this basic problem.

Traffic Travis and market samurai are well-known and excellent tools imho.

I think both have a free version to try it out- or can be found in the download section of the forum here.

The tool you are talking about is very critical to design as it will have to check the real time results of search engines each time you will use it.
