Basic Problem With Reddit

Im fairly new to Reddit and cant find the answer to a problem im having. Iv checked online as well as asking in Reddit help subs etc. Iv setup a NSFW sub. When i was first posting video links into it, all the videos went to my front page. I mean they were in my "hot" section and when anyone came to my sub they were the first thing anyone seen. Now when i add a video, they dont appear on my front page and instead go into my "new" section and people have to click on the new tab too see them. How can i make sure videos go straight to my front page/ "hot" section for everyone to see. I have tried clicking approve and save after i publish it but still doesnt move. Do i need one of my subscribers to go onto the page and comment on each video before they go to the front or something. Cant find the answer to this at all and it sucks as it looks like a good place to pull some adult traffic over to my site
