He is just the biggest bs artist in the states right now who has won one major political race where he defeated Jeri Ryan's ex-husband.

Personally, I think the country needs Obama. Look at the man's background and history. He's a guy who really does care about other people and while he doesn't have the experience, I think he's ready to turn the country around.

If McCain gets in office.. there's no doubt in my mind that Iraq will be a permanent home for us because he blatantly said and I quote "It doesn't matter when the troops come home, that's not important."

We've already had President Bush that proves the world doesn't have to approve of a war for us to start one. I've listened to almost every speech Obama and McCain has made televised, not because I give a shit about politics but I do like to know about the person who's going to be in charge of the country.

McCain criticizes Obama for higher taxes on middle class Americans but what is the man supposed to do? We've wasted so much money on this war, how are we supposed to raise enough money for the country, just print it off? I'm not a political guy but I think we're all royally screwed if McCain wins.

Lol, it really doesn't matter who wins. I've looked at Obama's voting history, this guy loves everything he says he doesn't. This guy will not make any changes, its business as usual. If Obama wins we will just move furthur from the values this country was founded on. If you think Obama is anti-war you've got another thing coming.

Its actually pretty funny if you watch his original speeches and recent ones, he has already started flopping on his original ideas.

In essence, in America it absolutely doesn't matter who is president. If they go against status quo they are usually just killed off (think about it). The presidents in this country aren't the ones making the decisions.

Republican (not really even republicans anymore, more like neo-cons) or Democrat, either way America is going in the same direction, mainly because it's not a "party" deciding which direction this country goes.

Thats pretty much why voting in this election is fairly pointless.

We don't know, bro.

America's major media is so unreliable as to be unwatchable any more. I literally had my cable TV turned off about a week ago. There is simply no real information available any more.

My tinfoil-hat take on things is that the two parties have decided just to rock back and forth in the safe, comfortable middle ground of infotainlitics and that no real change is possible now that we've so thoroughly institutionalized our pseudo-nationalism and infantilized our populace by pisspoor education, Hollywoodization of our political process and the massive creation of xenophobic fanatics in our voting demographics who are divided right down the middle and due to our winner take all system, neutered and stripped of what little power the members of our republic would otherwise have.

When you boil it down:

Obama wins, personal and business taxes go up, we very likely do something precipitous and dangerous in the middle east by pulling out too soon or incorrectly: We're fucked.

McCain wins the military industrial complex craps itself in a profit taking orgy, we mire down the middle east with American military baggage for intractible decades and gas hits $12.50 a gallon before we really create an energy policy: We're fucked.

Either way, we're fucked.

We need a little good old fashioned Jeffersonian liberty tree refreshment, but we're not going to get it any time soon.

So I'm gonna try to stash some cash if I can and hope for the best.

I hate mixing politics with business... but I have to ask smitty5168 what values are you referring to? We had a revolution because the wealthy plantation owners weren't being allowed to grow and sell their own Tea and were being forced to pay high taxes to England.

The only value this country was founded on was that rich folk didn't want to pay taxes, period. That hasn't changed.

A third of the people here joined the revolution, a third supported England and a third didn't care either way. Heck, George Washington was a member of the British army and only fought for the revolution after England refused to give him a General's rank in their army. He was a power hungry mercenary.

And if you really look at the true history you'll find we only won because we used what at that time were terrorist tactics. We were blackhat warriors Fighting like wild savages rather than civilized men, we assassinated their leaders, held public executions and even scalped British soldiers as if we were Indians just to cause fear (terror) among the English ranks. But you rarely find those facts in history texts because history gets written by the winner...

All that other stuff about all men being created equal and blagh blagh blagh... was political spin to give themselves credibility with all the people who didn't support the revolution or the new government. They didn't mean any of it, as obvious by the fact that they also included a formula for how some men (black men) were only equal to 1/5 of a white man.

more profitable before welfare when the father was in the home.

2)Our schools liberal crap has hurt the schools,yet ever time they say more money more money.
Then Democrat Party state how America has fallen behind other countries in ed department.
Well proof money not the problem since we spend more per student then any country.

3) Dems claim they are the party for the black people but in fact the dems party vote in slavery
in the 1820 causing free black to be once again placed in to slavery.Then when the Republicans
past the amendments abolished slavery the Dems fought against it .
The fact also the Democrat Party started the kkk from a report by congress in the late 1800's.
Also first black man in congress was a Republicans ,and the Democrat Party fought against all blacks being elected. Even in the 1960 it was Republicans who by more numbers vote for civil rights.
The sad thing is if the Democrat Party after gaining power again in the end of the 1800's had not destroyed all the gains for blacks by Republicans there would have been no need for 1960's civil rights movement.

When you can't afford insurance, property, or to eat, socialism is not a bad idea.

When you are rich or on the road to riches, capitalism is great.

It's different strokes for different folks. Many people in this country are voting with their eyes, and not with their minds. They see a black man running for office. They don't want it to happen. Unfortunately, it needs to happen.

If this BLACK man wins, but does a bad job, there will not be another BLACK man in office. Therefore, this BLACK man has to do a good job, otherwise he sets his entire race back.

McCain can do whatever he wants to do in office. Who cares, he's just another rich guy that didn't know what he was doing.

Barack, on the other hand, has to be one of the greatest presidents of all time just to be accepted as an ok president. In this election, I think every racist in America should bet on black, because this Black man has more at stake than any one else.

Here's the rub. As a guy, you only have to have sex once. Protected or unprotected, if she gets pregnant, you are at her mercy. One time is all it takes. It's all you need.

Women, on the other hand have every day for a full trimester to get rid of it. Before that, they have about 5 days for the morning after pill. After, they have an entire pregnacy to give the child up for adoption. If they give it up, they will pay NO MONEY EVER.

Men get stuck with the bill regardless. More than that, most states don't even award custody at the child support hearing. Meaning: You have the obligation to pay, but not the right to participate in the child's life.

Have cash? Cool, fight for the right. NO CASH? Too bad, enjoy your child support payment.

My idea: Make these welfare moms pay back the state for the genetic testing, medical fees, etc. Give visitation at the hearing, and base support on the amount of visitation.

And just think Obama has spent over 200k on internet spam

Yep and its also your constitutional right to minimize your taxes too, the supreme court told me that one. The wealthy are just smart enough to exercise that right and that's why they are wealthy.

People should just stop complaining about the rich wanting to pay single digit taxes and get with the program and learn how to legally do it themselves.

Keyes didn't have a chance to win. Seriously, almost all the presidential candidates are well off. Look at the polls, btw. Obama is really dogging it in the south, even though most of the BLACK people live there. Southerners must be more intelligent than every one else, because it sure CAN'T be racism.

Anyway, capitolism is fine, but healthcare, dental, etc should be state governed. Elective surgery should be outside the state's jurisdiction. Wealthier people could use their private insurance to see their private doctors.

The US is broken. Most people aren't smart enough to fix it. The ones that are, usually don't want to, because they are getting rich off the problems.
