BANS still keeps logging me out

Anybody else ever had this problem? I've had it from the beginning. It logs me out like every couple of minutes. I think it has something to do with PHP settings or something, maybe one of those session settings, but I have no idea what to set. Any suggestions would be appreciated....

Who is your hosting with? Some people on the BANS forum have had the same problem, when they changed to Hostgator the problem vanished.

yeah it's funny how the bans instructions are tailored for hostgator. not sure if switching is an option at this point. i guess i'll hit up my hosting company's customer support.
