I want to make sure I am not linking to bad websites. This is the only one I could find that would crawl and check links for the whole site once purchased. Anyone have any better tools or ideas?

    Code:
    weblinkseo.com/seo-software/banned-websites.html

There's no way of being certain if a site is banned by google unless you have access to the server logs for the site, even then it's not easy to be certain. Generally Googlebot won't visit a banned site, but sometimes it might.

The best you can do externally is check if the site is indexed, if it's not indexed it might be banned, or might not, if it's indexed it isn't banned (but cound be tomorrow).

Not really, i have banned website due to doorway pages which is still crawled by Google. They do crawl, just that they don't index it.
