banned from MaxBounty

I got banned from MaxBounty for applying the ZIP+Password method

Firstly, I signed up for an account with my website and I got accepted. Then I began applying the method by putting an HTML file inside the ZIP file where I wrote instructions about getting the password with screenshots and my affiliate link. I used to do the method with a ZIP Submit offer and the password was on the next page of entering the ZIP code. I made $245. Then on the day of payout, I got this email:

Hi there,

Your MaxBounty account has been terminated for offering torrent passcodes in exchange for pirated software, movies, ebooks, etc. This is against our terms and conditions, which you agreed to when you signed up for an account at MaxBounty.

I don't know how the heck they could figure it out! Maybe I should have created the instructions for getting the password in a TEXT file instead of HTML. Or advertisers discovered that my visitors don't convert as they enter only their ZIP code and don't fill the form for an account. How do u think they caught the method??

Anyway, pleasssssse BHs, can u suggest me CPA networks that I can do the method with without getting banned for it. In other words, instructions on how to put the steps to get the password and this stuff because I'm really sad because I lost the first REAL cash I made through the internet

I think the problem is that people are starting to become really pissed off at the sheer number of people using the "torrent method" and have actually started reporting people to their CPA networks. I've heard of this happening before. It could also come from your "competitors" turning you in, trying to get you frustrated enough to make you want to quit, but more than likely it's the former. Also, what was your conversion rate on your zip campaign?

I must say, MaxBounty is really on top of their game. Don't feel too bad butlimous, I was also terminated from MaxBounty for Myspace Marketing. I literally made $120 in about an hour. Live and learn.

Yeah, from what I hear, Steve and Adam are pretty sharp guys.

1) How would people know which offer belongs to which CPA network??

2) Why would competitors want to get me banned if I don't make them lose money?? All marketers know that Torrent sites get loads of traffic and so the method would never get saturated easily.

3) I think most of torrent users don't know that I make money off them using this method.

4) When I started doing the method, the offer I used was available US residents, so the conversion was very poor with around 500 clicks per day : 6 ZIP code submits per day. Then after two weeks, I logged in to my affiliate account and I found two offers added automatically with one targeting UK and the other targeting Canada. The offer related to UK was converting high although I didn't put instructions for getting the password by filling the UK offer! So people who filled the UK free iphone offer were really interested to get a free iphone and didn't care about password. The Canadian offer was converting in between the two other offers. The overall conversion till I got my account banned was about 7000 Clicks : 100 filled forms.

5) I think i got banned because the conversion rate was extremely low as u can see and the offer targeted for the US wasn't converting at all as advertisers want people to actually fill in the form on the next page of entering ZIP codes because this is the real value to advertiser.

6) Do u know any other CPA network that I can do the method with safely?? Or, do you know any other method for making real money from the internet which is easy as this one???

I didn't even got accepted into the MaxBounty program, lol.
But some things are about to change...

So is there any CPA network that wouldn't get me banned??

What you doing is againsta ALL companies terms, -unless the offer is incentivized, but even that is kind of on the edge. So expect to get banned.

On a side not, did you html file was hosted on a server, or it was loaded in the torrent? I can not see how could they track that to you, unless you were hosting the html file somewhere on the web.

Of course people report you, cause you piss them off with your passworded torrent, and moreover the competitors as well. Why are you so amazed?

If your html file was hosted the company easily can find you by tracking the referring links and they'd see what you were doing. This method is getting too common now to be as effective as it used to be. You have to use a shadier network like CE Cash and not the major "whitehat" networks.

On a side not, did you html file was hosted on a server, or it was loaded in the torrent? I can not see how could they track that to you, unless you were hosting the html file somewhere on the web.

How would people or even competitors know the network that the offer belongs to?!! These kinds of offers (Free ipod and iphone etc) usually setup affiliate programs on several different networks. Moreover, you will not find any "Affiliate Program" link in these offers pages because as I told you they usually have more than one affiliate program. Furthermore, I use tinyurl to hide my aff link.

Hmm, that is interesting. I don't think tinyurl hides referrer information very well though; I think the CPA network can usually still see where the traffic originated. Not that it would reveal anything about a torrent file, nor show any pissed off downloader which network the offer belongs to.

This is the reason for tracing, i guess. It depends what those images contained. Give me the link to the images if you do not mind, it is just for informative purposes.

You can see a maxbounty aff link becayse they alway start with mb01, etc... as i remember.

And tinyurl does NOT hide the referral, tests have been made and it was previosuly mentioned by diabolik in the forum

maxbounty is pretty hardcore. they were one of the first networks to completely forbid myspace marketing. and for good reasoning too considering the mess cpa empire is in. if your going to use zip/email submits for this method then I would suggest spreading it out through multiple offers and if you want to feel more secure about it then multiple networks. this helps in multiple ways. if one of your cpa account gets banned then you don't lose all of your money. and if you are really pushing this hard then with multiple offers you will totally fly under the radar. if you just get a couple of leads per offer a day then you shouldn't be getting any complaints.

only real issue would each campaign showing a high conversion rate. but that honestly shouldn't be a problem if it's just a few leaders per day for each offer. but if it is then it's fairly easy to push junk traffic to them to get the total number of clicks up.

maybe you should buy a domain name and do some cloaking so the link cant be discovered as it is encrypted in a javascript file.

I think theres a free cloaking script on here somewhere but not sure where

yeah you can do that as well. assuming it's one of the email/zip submits that doesn't break out of iframes. just have one site that redirects to the offer. iframe that site in another one of your offers and then use

to obfuscate the html so they can't see where everything is redirecting when they view the source

If its a problem with the referring URL, why would you not just host your own redirect pages? I have a nice little javascript that I insert in the body of the page which handles the redirect for me so I don't have to use a meta refresh or deal with it on the server. If anyone wants the script let me know. I would think you could easily just call it from outside the page if you wanted to.

I never link directly to an affiliate link.

That obfuscater is really sweet. I pasted in the code of one of the pages that I have the redirect script on it and it dealt with it beautifully.

I dont know if your new or not but you should have went with a CPA Network that does not have their own Proprietary tracking system. Your better off using a network with Direct Track. All that shit aside, you will get banned anywhere you go. And yes CE Cash will ban you too. Been there and done that, although I took [url="http://cashtactics.net/01/01/best-of-2007-on-cashtactics/]11K away from them[/url] the last 6 months of last year for some petty torrents. Although they are lenient you can still get the hammer.


PS - Thou shall not fuck with Adam or Steve. This is a rule in CPA. It's too bad you didnt know about it sooner.

You should take people's advice here and cloak it. My cloak is an iframe as well so I have plenty of shit to fall back on like (search marketing, emailing) and all that good jive.

+1 on the cloaking, it will keep you protected from people knowing what cpa company you are with and who you are.
