When it comes down to legal issues. Right or wrong, a good size business would rather pay your to go away then to fight it out and incur more costs.

it sucks to get banned, but these things happen when you play with blackhat. Hopefully I don't get ban from Ebay anytime soon...
 
It sucks, 3k euros is a lot of money to lose.
Unfortunately, it is more than likely that you'll not win this one.
