Banned from AdWords

Did you ever consider using Facebook ads for your marketing effort? Facebook are much more lenient and do not throw a ban hammer at you for minor reasons.

Cheers

Google needs to go down in flames. They keep dropping the permanent ban hammer on me and my campaigns follow the ToS. New ID, IP, CC, LP, Content... Try again!

Nope it says at the top that that my account has been suspended in a red banner. I e-mailed support about it and the guy said there's nothing he can do that I have a account-ban.

You need to go for Plan B then mate.

Get a new account or hire an agency who can work for you.

google hates affiliates. When will people realize this? I got banned over a year ago and have't looked back. I make a lot more money doing SEO than I ever did with Google. Facebook also banned me lol. The only PPC network I use is Yahoo/Bing and conversions are actually a lot better over there than both facebook and google.

Yeah google keeps banning my accounts as well. I called them and asked whats up, they have no idea why my account was banned form their end.

My new accounts are almost automatically banned when I wake up the next day from creation.

I'd partially agree with that. Google only hates RASH affiliates who think that adwords is plug and play traffic.

Its an established fact that Yahoo and Bing doesnt have 10% of the traffic that Google has.

Now if you are a serious affiliate looking to profit from Adwords, your options are being able to play it well by the book or to be able to deploy some tricks that can allow you to stay put their alongside your competitors who are minting money with Adwords.

The above link is a good read if you wanna play it by the book and for the tricks you need to do a lot of reading on these forums!!

The treatment depends on how much you've spent with them.

At one time I was spending 20 G's a month on adwords.

So one day I decided to put in a CB product and Big G didn't like it one bit. Said it was a "get rich quick scheme" which was against their policy.

As we all know by now that Big G shoots first and asks questions later. Luckily they realized that the amount people like me spent over the years probably helped them become a billion dollar company so they asked 'nicely' that if I don't take back my ad they are going to ban me to kingdom come.

What I don't understand is: why can't Big G simply reject the ads? Why is it always be an instant ban email or a threat notice from them? If you walked into your local newspaper office and wanted to buy an ad - look you are trying to PAY them, not trying to rob them - would the booking agent smile and tell you they won't take your ad because they don't approve the content or would they tell you that you are never to set foot in their building again or they will sic the dogs on you? That's how I felt. Go figure....

You were lucky with that we were spending even more even had to contact them multiple times to get our prepaid money back after the just simply banned us out of nowhere. No explaination no nothing.

Did you get your Prepaid money back? Usually they don't refund! To ensure that you don't lose out on lots of money due to bans, its wise to fund your account with small amounts in regular intervals.

Another important this is that you need to make sure that your account is aged (Old) enough. Usually Old and aged accounts with good campaign history (Almost 1 month) are trusted and are easy to seek approval for.

We manage lots of Adwords campaigns for Affiliates who have been slammed on Adwords and off late there has been a sharp increase in people asking for help. I think this is just another ban spree that Adwords is carrying out, just like it did last year.

Whats funny is that I see that people are now making money by compiling a worthless E-book teaching them on how to get Unbanned from Adwords. :D

Yes we did get our money back took them about 6 weeks to complete a transfer meanwhile we had 2 other accounts running one suspended last week and one yesterday.

Also we did experience the same things last year Google cracking down from january till march lets hope it will be better in the coming months.

Has anyone actually found out any specific answers? I had an MCC that we managed for others with over 500 accounts in it, all running DTM links via redirects on various client servers. Within about 10 days, Google closed all of them, without so much as a reason, for all of our clients. I called, emailed, did everything, and despite spending well over $1 million with them last year, they just flat out told me that I'll have to figure out where I went wrong on my own, don't bother creating new accounts because they'll be slapped again, and don't contact them any more either. WTF?!?!

I'm just trying to find out is it DTM linking they don't like, or is it multiple accounts in the MCC that have the same or similar ads (ie: same keywords, same display urls, etc.) but for different companies? Within this MCC are about 30 companies and about 30 different websites, each owned different clients of ours. That's my best suspicion now, and I think the best solution is to create 30 new MCCs, one for each company, of course with new credit card name, new cc address, new IP address, each from a window VPS, etc. I'd even go with different destination urls, new keywords, new campaign and adgroup names, etc. But, if all traffic before went from Google to client redirect site, to affiliate network url to merchant url, and if Google was only given the redirect site's url as the destination url, do you think Google tracks the hops that follow it, ie: the affiliate network url to merchant url? I think its possible that maybe they track the ultimate landing page for purposes of matching them up against the ad's display url, and sometimes they see the affiliate ID tag appended to the end of it, like merchantcom/?aid=554466, and then they might be able to say we've seen that landing page before, that was from that other banned guy's account, so therefore this must be the same account, therefore we're going to ban this one too. Or, is it sufficient to simply create new destination urls such that the traffic goes from Google to new destination url to old destination url to affiliate network url to merchant url? I would have thought this would have been sufficient but when I created a new account to test this theory, it ran for a week or so before being slapped down again. It had new billing name, cc, address, ip address, vps, etc. It had all new destination urls too. But, the problem, I think was that the new destination urls merely redirected to the original chain of redirects. So, I am beginning to thing that Google must be tracking the links and AID numbers along the hops to the final landing page url. Does anyone else have any experience with this? I think the only solution, the one I am going to try now, is to just tell my clients create a bunch of new companies and start over from scratch, or else wait 30 or more days to see if the ban on the domain names themselves, the ones that were the destination urls, are lifted. Then create a new account with new ownership, billing info, ip address, vps, etc. I've heard that after 30 days Google gives up the ban on the site itself, for it is possible that the site could have been sold and there are new owners. What do ya'll think?

Sorry to hear about your loss mate and they are damned right - every new attempt to create a new account will be taken down by them. Dont go by the myths that its a 30 day sentence cus its a lifetime sentence.

If you manage to get your new account, work around on better ways to direct the traffic to your money pages. There are thousand ways out there to send traffic smartly to your website like URL cloaking, intelligent redirects etc.

You had all your eggs in one basket and that was the biggest mistake you made out there. Yes Google does check the redirects - both manually as well as automatically!

Best way ahead is to get smart with XLS and getting new accounts for yourself then start uploading campaigns slowly one by one. You need to be sure that you have clean IPs when you login to the various account.

Another very important tip - remove ALL GOOGLE APPS from your PC. Including the Google Toolbar. I only use Internet Explorer to manage my clients' Adwords campaigns. Thats the best way to go ahead!

Goodluck.

Yea i got banned yesterday. no clue why
Also 2 days ago i bought scrapebox, and receipt was sent to the same g meil account

I'm pretty suspicious they read mails, or have some kind of trigger system to certain words, and when the words come up in your mail you will be verified thoroughly (or i'm paranoid, but i read that some users logoff from gigle before doing bhat stuff)

I recently got banned after a little over 3 months of running a successful campaign. What could you do in order to continue promoting the site? Could you be able to change the designation URL on a new account? Change the layout?
Anyway of getting reinstated?

Domain name change is the first thing you should do.

"DTM links via redirects on various client servers"
Can you elaborate on this? Could it be some redirect scheme that they don't like?

If you bid on the same keyword from multiple accounts on the MCC, I think that definitely could lead to a ban, since that would mean you could hog all the ad spaces alone.

Same display URL too, maybe. Only one ad would appear for the same display url, but I don't think they want you to be playing the same game with many accounts.

You could easily find out about these things anyhow, just call them, or email them as a future client, and ask them.

guys ,Let me know if I can be any help to any of you suffering from account suspension .I can run any banned products on Google .:)

Good advice, I advise all to remove the Flash cookies google puts on your computer, too. It's just another way of telling google who you are etc. I used to work in eBay and they have similar methods for detecting "linked" accounts, duplicate accounts etc etc so get rid of the Flash cookies.

There's a plugin for Firefox that does it, too.
