A recent account I started has been banned for what I can only understand to be having fake followers. Here's the rundown.

-Started a new account.
-Purchased 5000 fake followers just to give it a somewhat nice presentation to followers I hoped to gain. To appear credible.
-Followed only 70 users manually through the span of roughly 6 hours. All followers were spread out.
-No bots were used at all.
-Did not spam posts, spread out at least 1-2 hours.
-Used no banned tags or images

The only thing I did that is frowned upon from IG is the fake followers.

So my question is, is Instagram now disabling accounts for having artificial followers/likes?

Thanks for the help BHW

I've ALWAYS started my accounts with buying fake followers. I've never been banned once. I reckon it's more likely you were banned because of the following you did.

Probably 5000 is too big of a number for fresh new acc.

i've recently started an account and bought 300 fake followers and had no problems with it at all.

Normally purchasing fake accounts is safe. What about your pictures, all unique?

I dont think you got banned from purchasing fake followers because if they ban account for fake followers you could easily send to a competitor page fake followers and that makes no sense.

It all depends on where you buy them from! Always make your purchase with a trusted seller with lots of positive reviews to ensure that you get high quality and timely delivery which is 100% safe.

Probably it has something to do with the photos your posted. Are they original?

exactly and IG knows that for sure. It'd be too easy to knock out the competition, makes literally no sense at all.

I suppose you didn't add a bunch of them, did you?

Probably around up to 500 is a good number to go. I've seen a 10k account with like an average of 10 likes per picture and some users even commented "fake", "how do you have so many followers but averaging 10 likes?", "lol, fake". : D

Honestly, I don't think adding 5k at once on a fresh account is the way to go. users are getting more and more used to seeing fake numbers and they're getting better and better at finding out which accounts are fake and which not.

Even for a brand checking stats later on, it'd be really strange seeing a decrease in followers or even a bad engagement, 'cause 5k is too much, imo. Unless you're aiming on doing/achieving something else with those fake followers.

yeah I would go for a slow and long term pace. Quality over quantity :)

I think there were something wrong with the folowing process of fake accounts.
