Banned By Paypal?

Hopefully you'll be able to recover the full amount after 180 days. Probably you are already aware of this, but PayPal likes to take money from limited accounts these days, if they feel, that the account holder "violated" their acceptable use policy, which can amount to $2,500 per violation.

"If you are a seller and you violate the Acceptable Use Policy, then ... you will be liable to PayPal for the amount of PayPal's damages caused by your violation of the Acceptable Use Policy. You acknowledge and agree that $2,500.00 U.S. dollars per violation of the Acceptable Use Policy is presently a reasonable minimum estimate of PayPal's actual damages considering all currently existing circumstances, including the relationship of the sum to the range of harm to PayPal that reasonably could be anticipated because, due to the nature of the violations of the Acceptable Use Policy, actual damages would be impractical or extremely difficult to calculate. PayPal may deduct such damages directly from any existing balance in any PayPal account you control."

There's way too many things banned on the AUP, and things that just aren't clear.

A bookstore could get banned under (d) and (f) of section 2.

Well bookstores are environmentally bad, killing my trees so reducing the amount of oxygen I have available.

Clearly a high-risk business.

I call on the Almighty Paypal to ban all bookstores from their platform as bookstores are bad for the environment and threaten the entire humanity.

Yes, that's true. It's a vague policy. If they want, they can deduct money for just about anything referring to their AUP.

I remember, when i first read about this maybe 2 or 3 years ago, the "tariff" was only $500, now it's $2,500. Probably they wanted to set an inflation record.

They are just dumb fuck, I have 9 other accounts all are well and safe. Just as someone said they hate high transaction amount so better make 9-10 different account and get money through. May be this should work well.

There should be nothing vague when it comes to money. I can't start it.

May be. You running stealths?

It’s too bad buyers couldn’t use their PayPal to send their payment to a merchants bitcoin account.

Good that it gets auto withdrawal every 24 hours in my country but sad to hear about what happened to you! What do you use now to receive payments?

I have been saying this loud move to btc, if btc is not an option go for transferwise or payoneer it’s really sad that this happened with you and others.
That it's like a second (at least) most common option for the buyers, that's why sellers are dealing with PayPal stupidity.
Another option to use third-parties payment processors or billing systems. Problem with some of them, that they are not very open for Link Building sellers.

I actually have a lot of issues with processors like FastSpring and stripe. But 180-day holding. That's something absolutely outrageous and completely irresponsible. It can be critical for small business.

You can always set up custom payment processing with your bank. I didn’t know this for a while haven’t done it yet but it seems like a great option for the future.

You mean like a merchant account? But those aren't easy to get, right?

Im in the states so I have an LLC, equivalent of small company in other countries recognized by government.
I logged into my bank app to look over some things and they had a section telling me they could provide me custom payment processing solutions. I’m not sure if they called it a merchant account but no it didn’t seem hard at all basically they just said hey call this number we’ll get it for you.

I'm confused. You're not allowed to have 9-10 accounts under the same name and address.

I mean, even if you get away with it, the moment they do an identity/address verification they'll find all your accounts and suspend them.

Has anything changed about gaypal that I'm unaware of? You totally confused me @Brilliant Digital Services
I am not sure, but may be in my country their identity verification system not able to verify this properly.

I gotta tell you man, that sounds really weird.

The ID/Address verifications are done manually, so I don't see how this would work.

But hey, congrats :)

If you’re doing SEO related business.Ideal approach would be having up to 3 business PP accounts.

Try as much as possible to keep funds low. If you can make funds intra-sanctions instead of withdrawal to your local bank. When paypal comes for one account you have other accounts to keep business afloat.
This simple approach has worked for over years.

@MisterF sorry for such predicament.
