How to get started online when you have no money:
Step 1) Get accepted at an ad network that offers "pay-per-lead" with incentives
Step 2) Pick offer paying $1.40 or so for email submits
Step 3) You and your buddies print coupons / flyers and find a way to get them in peoples faces around town

Its a good idea to know your sh-t before applying to ad networks because its harder than ever to get in
These offers work because they offer a "incentive" that is usually worth 100-400 bucks - they make the rules hard af to complete and usually get 100k people's contact info
Good places to put the flyers - starbucks (people already near wifi) - public/college libraries (see starbucks) - IF you get something like a "target giftcard" or something you can stand outside target handing them to people (on their way out works better I promise and saying something is super important make eye contact and sh-t) if you make really legit looking cards you can usually convince fastfood employees to put it on the counter by the cash register (like biz card level looking)

I used to find controversial topics in local news (like OMG they're building a gas line or whatever) I would loosely associate the website's name with a local community college or something ***THIS IS RISKY I'M NOT SAYING DO THIS*** ie "LOCAL SOMETHING SURVEY" - you put up a one page website that is collecting votes about should this be allowed in exchange for a chance to win iPad air or what not.
The link you put on the coupon goes to your site. They click yes/no which shoots them to the email submit page *because they need to put their contact info in case they win* - this has been going on for A LONG time remember seeing those "win a vacation / car" things at restaurant entrances? Its information collection baby.
