Bank Accounts Needed - DE/AUS/CH

Does anyone know how I can open a bank account in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland from the US? I would also like to do it on the cheap.... if possible!

I think German banks require you to visit a branch to verify your identity. Not sure about the others. Anyone?

Yep, German and Austria banks are need you to visit them personal and sow up yout ID card etc.
A swiss bank account is possible without that, but I would not suggest to send the bank letter direct to your home adress.

bumping this thread - still need a euro-bank solution. german would be best - swiss second... then the rest.

can anyone suggest where to turn from here? sugar, i pm'd you weeks ago.
