Bank account

Hi,
To get paid from a company they want my bank sort code and number along with my business name etc.

The bank account is my business one and so is registered with my business name/po box address.
However when applying for my business bank account i had to not only give the bank my business details but also my personal details, name, address, phone number etc.

My question is this, by providing the above details to a company can they obtain any of my PERSONAL information from it that i had to give to the bank to get my business account?

A bank will never give out any of your private information to a third party, such as a company that has your banking details.

while that is true it depends on the country. your registered business name can be searched and the owner information can be public. i will try to find the link for you.

Well im from the UK. And im pretty sure the bank cant just hand out any personal details for example name and address etc.. but its all down to human error i guess? Just wondered if my personal information was actually accessible to some companies wanting to find out more details on an account
