Does anyone here use one of those bandwidth SDK things for their mobile or windows app? Like Honeygain's SDK, Earnapp's, Soax's, ect? Looking to see what people are getting for rates, maybe we can cross reference some offers we have received to get the best rates overall.

That sounds like a smart approach! Rates can vary a lot depending on location, demand, and the provider, so comparing offers with others could definitely help find the best deal.

! If you’re exploring bandwidth-sharing SDKs for mobile or Windows apps, here’s a quick tip:
  1. Compare Rates: Rates vary by provider, region, and usage. Check user feedback or forums for real-world earnings.
  2. Evaluate Terms: Look for transparent payout structures, low thresholds, and reliable support.
  3. Test Small: Try a few options to see which aligns best with your app’s performance and revenue goals.
Cross-referencing offers and testing in small batches can help you find the best overall deal.

It is recommended to test the performance of different platforms in the same device/network environment.

I think you're slightly mixing up two different types of this earning method.

When talking about SDK -- that's when you're the owner of an app, like some casual match-3 game. You then approach major proxy providers like Bright Data with their EarnApp and offer to integrate their SDK into your app, allowing them to farm proxies from your users. Here, payment terms will depend specifically on your situation -- your app type, audience, countries, and so on.

But if you just want to install an application on your own phone, that's not an SDK, that's just a regular app. For example, Honeygain. Here, too, the specifics depend on your geolocation, uptime, and traffic type.
Generally, you won't earn much this way as a person (not the app owner). Plus, some of these services have issues with reputation -- both in terms of payouts and risks related to how your traffic might be used. Is it worth it for these small amounts of money? That's a complicated question.

If you genuinely have access to phones and inexpensive mobile data, you can easily sell that as a proxy farmer. Various ways of doing this have been discussed extensively right here on this forum, in neighboring threads.

This is exactly what I was looking for, I was a bit confused by the other replies. I am the app owner in this case, with about 20k DAU mainly US. I was hoping to connect with other app owners to discuss current rates they’re being offered so we can both better negotiate for the future. Hard to tell if $.01/DAU/day for US is a rip off or if that’s a solid deal.

By combining community insights, empirical testing, and negotiation, developers can identify the most sustainable and profitable SDK for their audience.

For the US, that's probably not a very high price, and you can try negotiating. It's important to mention that I'm judging from the outside, based on publicly available information -- but still. It would be interesting if experts could comment here.

Once again, I'd emphasize that a lot depends on specific nuances -- such as how actively they'll drive traffic from your users, and so on. That's why these prices aren't publicly available; everything is discussed individually through negotiations and bidding, and often under NDA. In your position, I'd try talking with multiple SDK providers simultaneously, to compare.

Never tried those SDKs, but I'm curious – what's the impact on user experience and battery life? That'd be my main concern.
