Ban Google spy on BHW

They need account for some reasons.

1) BHW has limited availability of viewing threads for guests. (I think guest can view only 5 threads and then he is asked to login).

You do realize that the whole general forum is indexed in google. What good will banning accounts do?

We should not fear the Google, but on the contrary Google should fear about us!

I have been thinking this over and came to this:

Banning people for being employed seems a bit silly. You should ban for behavior, not for having blue eyes.
Whether it's mister G or miss Y, they are just trying to make money, just like the rest of us.
Some methods that are used hurt business, so they respond to that.

Let me clarify that with an example.
The other day I went looking for brush replacements for my toothbrush. Clicking on Adsense got me to a parked domain with lots of stuff, just not what I needed. No products, just advertisements.
So now g00gle wasted my time, I will not trust them as much, resulting in less clicks and thus less traffic/money for them.
I didn't check, but somehow I think Google will see this parked domain as a problem and ban it. It is hurting their business. Afterwards the owner can complain in the forums. :D

People like to kick google and others for protecting their own shop but I don't think this is the way. Google says "If you want to play with us, here are the rules." and there is nothing wrong with that. Nothing wrong with not playing fair either, just don't complain afterwards.
There is nothing wrong with G or others having a look around to keep up.
If you want to kick G, do it for their policy of "Do Evil" but not for protecting their shop.

Also, when reading the FAQ I discovered BHW actually has a protected zone. Free from G and others. I don't mean Junior VIP btw.

I am noticing a trend in the world of forbid this, kill that and burn the witch. This is pointless. No good can come from it.
People should understand that freedom means freedom, especially for the things you don't agree with. If freedom means you are forbidden to speak of water being dry, you are no longer living in freedom. Instead of banning G-peeps, we should welcome them to teach us the way.

Anyways, the above is just my opinion of course. Please ignore as you see fit. :)

i am sure google employees could contribute more usefull stuff than anyone else here, we just have to convince them with access to the networks of our link providers. fair deal, huh?

@AMsterdammer : You, you work for google for sure :D

I believe it isn't a bad thing that Google can see what we do, they will eventually give up in chasing us, in front of the brillant spirits we got out there.

How could a robot outsmart us ?

The only drawback is for blog network where we give up the names here too easily. But if it wasn't BHW any others board would do it.

To the OP, what if Google pays third party companies to obtain data from the forum or what if they allow employees to work from home? Then what?

Google will always find "loopholes" in their search algo and will plug them. Blackhatters will find new ways to exploit the search algo. I don't see a issue with this as "G" needs to protect their investment and those that cannot keep out with them will be weeded out.

It does not matter if it's black hat or white hat, you can't use a method and then expect it to last forever.

So I'm (and probably most of you guys) 99.99% sure that Google has paid monkeys here, who are paid to find new bh ways of manipulating their shitty algorithm and taking down the methods. I also think that they even bought VIP to access VIP section of BHW and spy on there.

:D

Why would they bother? The ROI would be abysmal. They do not have to send anyone here to read these posts. They already have the entire contents in their database. In fact they probably come in here and update it many times a day. ll they have to do is mine the data.

Another thing, Google doesn't care, in the broad sense if someone BH's the system. They care when enough people are doing it that is skews the system, and affects the results for the user.

They do not have to come here and find the attempts to game the system, they just look for changes in the patterns, and address it when they see it having an effect.

This is why some people make out like bandits when they find a method and the method goes to crap when a lot of people start using it.

At first Google doesn't notice it, because even if you are getting rich, it doesn't affect the broader picture.

But when you as an individual, or many as a group start doing something that stands out as POSSIBLY not normal, they will notice.

as I said, google for "Google kenya" read the story. Google workers were doing some really bad stuff and they weren't even hiding their IP, they were doing everything from office IP. But even though they hide IP, even once they can do mistake and access without hiding.

Wake up and smell the coffee, this is how the world works behind the scenes and I doubt the BHW team are even remotely intrested in doing anything you suggest on the basis that Google will find out half the stuff eventually ;)

i'd say let google be able to spider over only the titles, and not the contents of the threads, sorry if this is a dumb suggestions, but ive seen many forums do this

Hmm and this Certain someone you are referring to is ofc SPK right :D

kudos to u brother.

GoogleApis runs on BHW, so I'm pretty sure they can be collecting data regardless of user input.

That being said, I'm sure there are people who visit BHW and report to Google. No doubt about it. It's kind of like a certain someone who ratted out the mobileview method to youtube/google.

I may be totally wrong here, please correct me if I am. I like to learn. :)

The way I see it, the bot was made to save them some work, just like you have bots. Bots rock, but should be used when needed, not a bot just for having a bot. That is like riding a hummer because you like to have an image.

So, we are not being outsmarted by a bot. We are being outsmarted by its creator/owner.
Search engine needed? G provides.
Voip in the rise? G gets in.
Social networking? G will plus it...
Online gaming on the rise? Guess what G is in to too?
You need a blog to feel like you exist next to your facebook? G can help with that.
You want extra money? G can help you in this "minor" niche...

It is sort of like: Hi, we are G. We provide you with life, for life. All your base are now belong to us.

When it comes to privacy, I think things need to change.
When it comes to doing business, G is an example if anything. Instead of blaming them, I just watch in awe and try to learn.

We should welcome them in, let them teach us.
You can rest assured though, if BHW gets to a certain income threshold, G will have its own version of it on the market.

Anyways, compare it to having a cop for a friend.
There are no laws against having a roll of quarters in your car is there? Hairspray is legal right? A brace is illegal, maze is illegal. A friendly cop can give you such ideas to protect yourself while fully complying to the law. To find ways to accomplish your goals within the rule restraints you must abide to.

Also, this forum is intended to come together as friends, talk about what you are doing. Learn.
Sadly enough, some think that the best way to learn is to find the fastest way to destroy things instead of building and creating. That is why you shouldn't post your own links. People will crash it for shits and giggles.

Anyways, I am probably just rambling, please, do give me your input on this. :)

Making a new account wouldn't be a problem for them, and paying 100$ for Jr. VIP - I doubt it would be a problem for a 160 billion dollars company.

However, they'd be losing their rep and that's gotta count for something even if its only to make us feel good that Google people are getting the boot.

But it's all part of the game - BHers trying to trick the system, the system trying to fight back.
