The most dangerous fish is one tiny thingy we call "sea dragon" that sting bad, but not I-will-kill-you bad. I tried to find the last time any wild animal killed human in Bulgaria, but probably was before Internet because was unable to find anything..You should already know the answer to this. True but Bulgaria is full of stray dogs. The most dangerous of these dogs are the poorly kept ones that have spent their whole lives tied to a short lead. This sends them mad and I've personally witnessed these dogs escaping and attacking people and other dogs. It's just the mentality of the older generation of Bulgarians.
The Police are well aware of this, after all it's a tradition but fortunately only in certain areas of Bulgaria. They don't yet regard it as cruel and it's not yet illegal.
Banned? Really? So why does it still go on? Also since when have Bulgaria ever implemented laws? Do you remember the European ban on smoking? It's pretty much ignored in many parts of the country and you must know this. Even in some of the expensive restaurants I've seen people asking for ash trays and been granted them by the staff so they can smoke inside. Anyway I will not be adding anything further on this thread, rant over!
You really are surprised about smoking inside and dog cruelty in Bulgaria? You know there are Bribe Auctions there? Like parents selling their underage daughters to old people and nobody gives a shit.
