Yeah, sorry dude. I just said there's a lot of maini on this forum. :D

Clarification: Maina is an adjective that's most commonly used in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. If I have to compare it to an english word that would be "mate" :D

Actually there is nothing in Black Sea that can kill you, except the water of course. :) The most dangerous fish is one tiny thingy we call "sea dragon" that sting bad, but not I-will-kill-you bad. I tried to find the last time any wild animal killed human in Bulgaria, but probably was before Internet because was unable to find anything..

You should already know the answer to this. Dogs are the number 1 killer. Bears have also killed in recent years.

True but Bulgaria is full of stray dogs. The most dangerous of these dogs are the poorly kept ones that have spent their whole lives tied to a short lead. This sends them mad and I've personally witnessed these dogs escaping and attacking people and other dogs. It's just the mentality of the older generation of Bulgarians.
I bet not many people here are aware of Dog Spinning in Bulgaria! They keep trying to get it banned but in some villages it still goes on every year. Take a look if you can stomach it

Get a drone with 4K camera and good lens on it, and record some dog spinning and give the footage to the police or some animal welfare agency that will deal with it for you.

The Police are well aware of this, after all it's a tradition but fortunately only in certain areas of Bulgaria. They don't yet regard it as cruel and it's not yet illegal.

There have been laws against cruelty to animals since 2011 in Bulgaria. If the police get reports but are ignoring it, make a complaint to their supervisors.

Banned? Really? So why does it still go on? Also since when have Bulgaria ever implemented laws? Do you remember the European ban on smoking? It's pretty much ignored in many parts of the country and you must know this. Even in some of the expensive restaurants I've seen people asking for ash trays and been granted them by the staff so they can smoke inside. Anyway I will not be adding anything further on this thread, rant over!

You really are surprised about smoking inside and dog cruelty in Bulgaria? You know there are Bribe Auctions there? Like parents selling their underage daughters to old people and nobody gives a shit.

Edit: Forgot to mention, this is not to offend Bulgarians, usually these markets are for gypsies, but still it’s fuxked up and the authorities still haven’t done anything which is also fucked up.
