Bad Proxies Bought Here at BHW? Or Technical Problem?

I started off with 10 shared (3 users) proxies from a company recommended by an SENuke SEO service. They worked nicely in Scrapebox, but they were $1 each. So I thought I would scale up, buy more, and look at BHW for suppliers. I carefully read through all the threads to find suppliers that were OK with Scrapebox use.

I bought 50 shared proxies first. The moment I started using these proxies they start to fail in ScrapeBox. It was so bad that I had to test the proxies every time before I scraped with them. The usable proxies went from 50 to 30 in an hour or so. They took about a day to recover, then back to the same problem different proxies failing every time I scrape, check backlinks or page rank. My home IP got banned for 24 hours because I initially wasn't checking every scrape and some of the proxies failed to remain anonymous.

I analyzed my mistake as buying crappy shared proxies. So I bought some dedicated private proxies from another BHW supplier. When I run these 20 through the Scrapebox checker, 4 or so are bad, slow or 404 errors etc. This is before I have even used them once. Moreover, if I check again, it is a different 4 that are bad. I don't see how these are usable. I plan to ask for a refund rather than try to use them.

My expectation was that private proxies would be good if I took care of them. I set all my ratios in Scrapebox to 5:1, so 20 proxies, 4 connections.

Any suggestions for maybe something I am doing wrong or a good reliable, inexpensive proxy supplier?

I get a couple of things out of your post:

1. I am experiencing poor quality proxies that I am paying for. So the services that I found on BHW and have paid for are crap. There is no technical problem. I could get a better service, yours.

2. But you know why I didn't subscribe to your service. I wanted to make sure that I had proxies that I could use whenever I wanted to, and for whatever I wanted to.

As I understand your advice to me, If I wanted to proxies that I could use 24/7, I should use private proxies. So that is what I bought. Also, I wanted to use proxies for tasks besides scraping Scrapebox. The ones I purchased are crap in that you can't even scrape with them, so there is no way I could use them for SENukeXCr or GSA. But, I respected your constraints, you only allow Scrapebox use with your proxies. Maybe the solution for me is to buy a subscription to your service for Scrapebox use, and find some reliable proxies for other uses.

Do you have a suggestion on a reliable provider of private proxies for GSA and SENukeXCr? Do you want to sell me a subscription to your service for Scrapebox?

simple fact is you probably wont get 1 supplier to cover all your needs
alot of seo users on bhw use multiple selllers because no1 set of proxies is
going to cover everything you want to do, due to blocks, bans.

For harvesting, or scanning = Public IPS or Scanned Ips
For Posting stuff, Account managing, SEO purpose = Private Proxies.

+1 for @Proxygo

your proxies will get banned if they have been noted for scraping b4
meaning they might get flagged quicker. and buying shared proxies means
if other users who had them b4 u hammered them, you will pay for it

simple advice here....
take proxygo advice on EVERYTHING proxy related,
and you will not go far wrong :)

for scrapebox take the @proxygo proxies ...

Also use the shared proxies you have with your provider with ip authnetification otherwise you have problems with scrapebox ...

shared proxies - private proxies - port scanned proxies
all have there uses, but no1 proxie fits all needs

Thanks for all the help. I guess that I see clearly that one size does not fit all. So I will happily take the advice posted here. I will get some proxies for Scrapebox - I've PM'd Proxygo already, and I will look around for some good quality private proxies too. I am hoping that they are available for around $1 a proxy.

pm replied to, as for private proxies start with 10/20
you can usually get a deal on bhw for 30$ or so
