When promoting on Facebook, what are the most common time wasters and bad advice?

I think that the biggest time waster is targeting to everyone and to all ages. The people you target are very very specific. that's my opinion.

    > Target specific age, if you are promoting some cartoon stuff I am sure 60+ won't bother
    > Target Interest, narrows down and good

running a bad objective is a bad idea... but that comes with cost. if you cant afford website conversion then you run a website click objective.. but then its not as good as a website objective campaign

    Agreed.

Also like already said, can't be targetting everyone. Not everyone is your target market.

Your current customers need to be your main focus. New customers and clients are wonderful, but it is important to keep the people who are loyal to you. For really great Facebook marketing results, it is important to attract an audience that knows it is respected. This can help your brand earn real engagement, so do not forget about your champions!

I lost a lot of money because I didn't research my target audience properly. Never again
