Hello BHW!

I just want to start with DropShipping on Ebay but I don't know how because It's the first time

Anyone of you has ever had any bad experience with DropShipping?
Any advice?

Thank you!

Lots of people have had a bad experience with dropshipping. Both businesses and customers alike. A lot of people look at dropshipping and think it's the perfect business, actually it has a lot of difficulties and can be quite time consuming.

First off, finding a real supplier who is willing to drop ship for you even though you are a noob with no previous experience or history isn't easy. It's a hassle for them and very little likelihood of success just feels like a risk and a pain in the ass for them. Secondly if you are dropshipping you are taking orders live on your webite but you don't know the suppliers stock levels accurately so you have a risk to accept a purchase for an item you can't deliver because it's not in stock with the supplier. Next how do you handle returns and customer service? Lastly, is a thin margin worth all that hassle?

If you are actually making sales it's better to buy and hold stock in inventory and use 3rd party logistics. The more of the value chain you own and have control over the better position you can be in. Though exactly how much of the value chain you own/control vs. outsource is a very strategic decision and will be based on your businesses individual needs.

Just making a point that a legit import/export business is better than dropshipping once you can prove to yourself you can make the sales needed to make it work.

Thanks! you're amazing! :)

But... what about sell sunglasses from AliExpress to Ebay for example? Maybe I can have a control of the shipping with that

AliExpress in particular has very long shipping times. Like 1 month. Many customers feel like their product isn't coming so they do a chargeback and you get those kind of problems.

Like I said if you can actually make sales then buy and hold stock in inventory is the best way.

Hello, Drop shipping is always a risk because you are depending on someone else to do what they promise.I suggest you first test the drop shipper by having the product initially shipped to you so you can see what their service is like plus you can check out the product quality.

There are numerous drop shippers, one that I've used is Everbuying.net. They carry a wide range of products and their pricing includes shipping. I tested them by having them drop ship a watch to my son. Service was fast and the watch was good quality. Good luck!

It's like asking: I want to have a girlfriend, anyone had bad experience?

Some people make money with it, some of them don't, I would say don't go for it without at least 200$ investment.

If you do your research and work at it you'll have a good experience. Don't just jump into it without reading up on it here at BHW.

I think a mistake a lot of beginners make with Ebay dropshopping from other places is that the price on Amazon/AliExpress etc. may move before your auction is completed. Keep an eye on that, and make sure that the price doesn't move so much that you actually end up selling at a loss. Give yourself a bit of a margin.

There once was an online merchant who were drop shipping US manufactured products. The products sold, the products were profitable, all orders went out within promised time period, tracking #'s were provided the same day the items shipped and the business grew to the point where the owner quit his regular job, and was starting to get other family members involved. Then one day the items stopped shipping and business was ruined, as Amazon and eBay accounts were banned for non shipment. Eventually the owner of the store had to get a job again because they could not find another drop shipper. How do I know this? Because I was that drop shipper. The owner of the company decided that they were going to take my samples and get it made cheaper so they brought it to another manufacturing company. Little do they know that the manufacturer they brought the sample to didn't do their own manufacturing and outsourced their manufacturing......to me.
