Hello.
I use the SemRush tool to monitor my website. The tool analyzed that I have few links from my health niche and 70% of my backlinks are of very low quality. Could you help me with two questions?
1 - Do you think investing in backlinks in my niche will help?
2- About balancing the quality of the backlinks, is it better to disavow the bad backlinks or get new links with more quality? I ask this because of the costs of getting good quality links.

Thank you

As a link vendor I can say it usually does help a lot.

I don't disavow myself, I just ignore. It can be beneficial but adding quality links will probably help more.

Are low quality backlinks from the health niche? If yes, then don't disavow them. If No, disavow them.

1. Yes, they will help.

Check with other tools as well, Semrush has a tendency to pick up spammy backlinks that Google completely ignores. Check your GSC link report to see if Google has picked them up, if so you might want to disavow them.

Investing in high-quality, niche-relevant backlinks can have a significant positive impact on your rankings and traffic. Regarding low-quality links, proceed with caution. If you're dealing with spammy links that might attract a penalty, disavowing might be necessary. Yet, it's not always needed to disavow since Google often identifies and disregards poor-quality links.

You can verify backlinks on multiple tools and check GSC as well to identify toxic and high spam links, All tools have their own algorithms so decisions taken based on a particular tool's report can harm the site's position.

1. Investing in Backlinks: Yes, it can help if you focus on getting quality links from reputable health-related websites. Quality matters more than quantity.

2. Disavow Bad Links: Get rid of any low-quality backlinks you've identified after verifying them. They can hurt your SEO efforts if they are spam links.

Get better/niche Links: Look for opportunities to get new, high-quality backlinks. It's worth the effort, even if there's a cost involved, because they boost your site's credibility and ranking, remember your competition might be doing it already to get ahead.

You can try a combination of both

Best strategy is to offset the bad ones by building strong links

Especially via social traffic, like hitting front page reddit or viral post on twitter, usually gets you lots links
