backorder worked for me

    i set a name.com backorder 15 months ago for a avery good sitewith high Pr with milions of montly searches i never thought it will work but 3days ago i was legally registerd as the new owner of the domain name i was planing on contacting the previous owner through there email to negotiate but i change my mind to keep it then this morning i got and email from them i dont even know how they got my email asking for me to release there domain name to them for $2500 believe me am now thinking of asking them more am i being to gready? will they be able to take it back with out my permission what is the best thing to do at this situation i know they want there domain name back so fast because am sure business is falling for them

    One important thing you didn't mention: does the domain name include a trademark ?
    If it does, they would have the option to take legal actions against you and eventually get it back without giving you anything. In this case, you should better accept their offer right now.

    But if the domain does not include a registered name or trademark (meaning that they have no legal way to claim it) then you can try to negociate and make the price go up.
    Don't be too greedy and don't push too much though, you don't want them to let it go!

    well thanksforthe advice but i dnt think it has a trade mark how do i find this out
