Yes, there are still some ******** blogs. The footprints are fewer and less obvious, though. Also, many of those sites use a custom system and will require some sort of registration. So it's really a quality vs. quantity thing. To make things a little faster, considering explicitly excluding Wordpress, Blogger, etc. footprints when you search targets.
I'd still recommend posting to big nofollow blogs if you can get traffic from it in the meanwhile. Finding HQ dofollows will most likely take you a while...
