wikipedia backlink is very good. butt is links not permanent backlink.
Wikipedia has voluntary editors who checks for quality of outbound links. If someone sells your links those will not stick unless your link pages are providing a ton of value to that Wikipedia page. I know because I have multiple links from Wikipedia for a recipe blog. My strategy - research and create resource pages and then place links on Wikipedia. No guarantee that the links will stick though.

First step is to join wikipedia as editor. Then to spend time to edit the content in wiki which means sake of editing because other wiki editor will be monitoring you. If you do anything wrong, they will report you. pick a article who can add more details to it. Then you have developed a trusted history, you can add links on page that have content related to your product. Keep searching for content that is relevant to your site. Add links that are relevant. Be organic and add links in a smart manner.
