Backlinks with high DA but very low PA....

DA can be faked.. You should look for backlinks having both of them good..

Typically DA is the overall site authority and the PA is page authority. 99% of the time PA will be much lower than the DA.

If the pa is very low it means you won't get a lot of juice, however pa with few crap external backlinks can increase a lot, because this metric works in this way. So, when you look at the power of a single page trust flow is the best metric

PA also can be faked.

Primary I would decide on domain quality and backlinks. That's more important.
I would ignore bot at some point and just look on backlinks to the domain and after to the page. Also check if the page is indexable and is in index. Also a good point to undertand how depth is page with you link from the main page. Also in my experience DR (ahrefs) or even Domain Trust Flow vs Citation Flow (Majestic) are more accurate then MoZ.

The truth is that any new page (for example great guest post) will have lower PA initialy.

Thanks for all the replies. I recently got a few backlinks, high DA but from what I can tell the PA is 1. I'll be sure to check in the future also for TF & CF...

Everyone seems to hate Moz but is it just a fashion or actually evidence based?

I use DA on several occasions, however PA is not a good metric to evaluate the page rank of a page. Then, all these metrics can be easily faked, it is always better to check the backlink profile.

The Pa is always lower then the da i don't know why but it is truth and it is not effective.

DomDetailer is a good tool to bulk check metrics. Cheap to use too.
