Backlinks Vs. Content

Content is more important that links. Without content or just crappy content, Google will smash you down ind the SERP because of your visitors will leave your site immediately - and then your links are not worth so much anyway. BUT with great content you can boost your rankings with backlinks.. So they are both important, but without content your links won't help you that much.
