Looking for insight in weather or not getting backlinks for an e-commerce store is worth it. Or is their something better for SEO on ecom sites.

I'm also doing SEO for an ecom website. You can do few things:
1- If your website got blog section, then write some interesting blog relevant to your products and embed some inbound links to your products.
2-Backlink your blogs/articles with other websites (via guest-blogging on similar websites or else set yourself a PBN network).
3-Invest some time and money in fb ads, it will help you in terms of sales.

Thanks! Have been doing Facebook for some time, spent $10k. Only platform that has been lagging in terms of sales. Killed it on Twitter and instagram and trying to crack the code of Facebook lol

You can start off by getting links through guest posts with high-quality authority sites or get product reviews from blogs. It is also important to focus in leveling up your on-page SEO. Then reach out to your customers through social media.
