Has anyone tried building backlinks to a fb fanpage to get it on the front page?

If the FP is updated daily with quality content why wouldn't it?

It's actually a good idea. Might try blasting a few thousand links to my fb fanpage and see how it goes.

NO need to blast Thousands. i had try the same thing... update your fan page with quality content and start building authority back links . And there is an option to do some SEO of your page in fan page setting.. overall its kind of "ON PAGE SEO". . . . but if you do it in proper way. you can have good chances to rank high in google.

i dont think it works for fb same as for search engines; its different struchture; if we put similarities then what backlinks are for se, then comments, picture tags, likes, and shares are backlinks for fb; for more should referr to http://fbxtab.com/launch-1/

I haven't tried it myself, but I have friends who have done it and recommend it. Why not try it and blast a few thousand profiles and comments. It wouldn't hurt for sure.
